Drake had also been trying to get dirt on Pusha T by paying off a woman Pusha T had considered his sister that had been around him since the early days of his career, so she knew people who would have said info, and basically went around telling people there's 100K for any kind of negative secrets about Pusha T. One of the guys contacted Pusha T and told him about it. The picture is an old picture of Drake where he and a friend did blackface to get an acting gig. There's a lot more information on the entire thing told by Pusha T on the Joe Budden podcast if you care to watch/listen, but that's the jidst of why Pusha T's diss was so personal and so lethal that Drake had to take time away.

Meek vs Drake put an everlasting stain on Drake's credibility as a writer so he ultimately won the war, but Drake bodied him and won the battle. "Back to Back" is a modern day Ether. While you aren't a fan of Drake, it would be cool if you checked out "Duppy Freestyle" by him. Thats what caused Pusha T to do "Story of Adidon".

Okay, a few things. The instrumental is from Jay Z's Story of OJ on his 444 album which also has to do with self image and blackness. The blackface image is a real image from when Drake used to do theater or performing arts. Pusha just used it for this cover and reappropriate it. The song is called Story of Addidon as a play on words because his son's name is Adonis and there was leaked info that Drake was collaborating Addidas as a tribute or gift to his son. Adidas + Adonis = Addidon. Cindy is Drake's mother and Dennis is his father. All of the references to Dennis has to do with how Drake shows off his father but not his mother which Pusha T thinks is funny since his father wasn't around and his mother supported him. He's alluding to the fact that Drake is aligning with the black side of his family for street cred. So Cindy keeps losing despite Drake being a winner on an international level because she never reaped the benefits of being a wife and she doesn't get to reap the benefits of being celebrated by her son the way Drake's father is. Drake did take shots at his wife first so Pusha got real personal. When you said multi it might be a double entender referencing to multiracial but I believe he was talking about being a multi-millionaire. The ms count different with baby divides the pie, because it's split first with Baby and then Lil Wayne and then Drake gets his cut. At least that's what Pusha suggesting. And yes he did kind of reveal to the world that Drake had a son. Pusha is saying he started at the home front because he was born United States and rap music is inherently an American genre. So he at least has that one up on Drake. Drake is playing border patrol because you wouldn't let his son come home and also a reference to the fact that he's Canadian. Also, I think he's trying to say "Sophie, known better as your baby mother" which aims to disrespect her by not referencing her as his wife or by her first name but rather as his baby mother. Or it's "Softies knows better, that's your baby mother". Either way it's a reference to her. Also, Sophie was just someone Drake slept with and got pregnant which is why he was keeping the sun private for such a long time which Pusha T is taking advantage of it this point. OVO 40 I believe this is producer and friend and and I believe he has a terminally ill disease.

imo “you are hiding a child, let that boy come home, deadbeat motherfucker playing border patrol” is a punchline to the entire verse preceding the bar. Saying Drake’s father left him, that his mother never knew marriage, that Drake’s issues with his father led to insecurities about his race/identity, etc. only for him to repeat exactly what his dad was doing (i.e. being a “deadbeat”). Unfortunately this means that bars that are doubles (e.g. “M’s count different when Baby divides the pie”) don’t come across as doubles unless you re-listen, and generally I don’t think diss tracks are that re-listenable.
