PUSHING A JETBOAT TO ITS LIMIT IN ALASKA (First Time Anyone Has Fished This Creek!)

2 жыл бұрынCome along for a wild jet boat ride ride with @fishwithjd and crew as we explore an unnamed Alaskan backcountry creek that had never been run before. I was only able to access this tiny trickle when heavy rains swelled the main river to nearly flood stage. It was a sketchy ride but we had to see what was up there...and, of course, we had to drop a line! Check out what we caught...

Outstanding! Care to name the Main River? You mentioned SE AK so not where I remember playing this same game many years ago (Tazimna River, Six-Mile Lake, Lake Clark area). Thanks for sharing!

Is that the Qiisiang creek? I think on the gps its called Gechiak. I've been within 5 miles of that particular lake with a prop gets sketchy the closer you get to the lake

@@fishwithjd cool! I've been to the mouth of that little pond at the end when it was flooded with a tall tunnel skiff with a 25 went back there looking for moose sadly only seen a bunch of Bears lol

@@jeremedrakeFUFL Yep! A couple summers ago I thought maybe I'd just call it quits after nearly 20 years of guiding up there but then a Beaver flew over...hearing that sound made me realized i can never give it up!

@@fishwithjd we run jet boats up 120 miles up and back after the seasons done so I never got to ride on any of the float planes seen lots of bevers draging 1 tire thru the river in front of my buddy's lodge on the kitchatna tho
