In 2018 Ronaldo had a fight with Perez that had him get sacked from Real Madrid and Perez has got big influence in FIFA, also those French hate him and so cr7 wasn't awarded either awards. The ones won by Modric and Salah rightfully belong to cr7. On the other hand those guys favor Messi more and so he has won many undeserving awards.

The people who are saying bale's goal is better than ronaldo should watch it again...Ronaldo jump approx 2.4 m above the ground and then the bicycle kick...Bale's jump was 1.2m above and it was good but it was not that historic than Ronaldo👍

@@gabrielcastro4455 Who's to say the bicycle kicks weren't luck either. The reason bicycle kicks and scorpion kicks don't happen every game is because they are incredibly difficult to score, and often do require a bit of luck to land land in a place the keeper can't reach. Mcgree looked at the goal before doing the flick, suggesting it was intentional. Ronaldo's goal was brilliant, but Mcgree's edges it imo.

has to be Riley. The only thing it doesn’t have going for it is the stage it was scored on. Otherwise that goal has EVERYTHING. One touch passing to set it up. Genius execution of a first time scorpion kick. Hit from almost 18 yards out. Top bins. You score that goal in FIFA and guaranteed the other guy is smashing his controller.

Can i just talk about McGree’s goal. I am a Newcastle jets fan and I went to that match truely amazing. I know everyone’s saying it’s like and he didn’t mean it or whatever but no one knows the history behind this goal and why it made so many jets fans happy. In Australia, I have been teased for liking soccer. The jets was the one team I have put my heart into. This goal was in a semi, the first in a decade and we went 1-0 down after a scrappy goal then a NEWCASTLE chant starts and then we all start to rise then you know the rest... we made it into the grand final only to be robbed. The Jets fan base is like only 30,000 strong but if it wins it will mean the world to us. NTUA!!!

Salah and Messi shouldn't be on this list. They are good goals, but not special. And SALAH's goal won? Messi got nominated only because he is Messi. Sadly people vote for the person, not the goal. The winners should be Ronaldo or Bale. Also their goals actually helped Real Madrid to win the Champions League. (not a R. Madrid fan btw).

Kenneth Pettersen yes, Salah’s and Messi’s goals were above average at best. However, it shouldn’t matter what the goal contributed to, it shouldn’t matter what league or club you play for. McGree’s scorpion was by far the best.

Some really nice examples of "out side of the foot" shots. Pavards goal: perfect volley, when hit perfectly with the outside of the foot it provides an upward spin. Quaresma goal: His signiture "trivela" shot, provides massive outward spin Lazaros goal: havent seen this in a while, CR used to do them back in the day, its sometimes called a "knuckle ball", if you hit it at the right angle with enough power the ball travels straight for a while then suddenly changes direction. Such a good turn out this year!

Why are there the goals from Messi and Salah? Both goals you see hundreds per year. My favourite is Bales Goal. Incredible difficult. Nice Placement for a bycicle kick and the CL final. Close behind his Goal is CR7 with brilliant technique. Pavards was a great goal but nowhere near a goal of the year.

If you take into account the stage it was scored in, Bale is best, if all you are doing is saying which goal is more beautiful, Ronaldo is best. 99.9% of players if a ball passes 2.38m above them they let it go for being to high.

if goals are decided on important occasions, then players from inferiror leagues will never win it... eg faiz subri from 2015 or 16... Ronaldo or riley should win...

Ronaldo's goal is very impressive. Looks at least 4 meters away from the ball's path when it's delivered, then tracks back and executes a perfect volley. He really had no right even getting a touch on the ball. Stunning. That would be my number 1 pick. For solely entertainment value, Bale and McGree are full value. Definitely the most entertaining of the bunch. Unbelievable. KZfaq is awesome

I thought the same way at first, but after replaying it I discovered how hard it is to pull such a touch on the run. The ball control in his goal is a thing that only legends can do.

Have a look at Dele Alli's goal against Chelsea in 2018, the ball by Eric Dier was amazing and the ball control too. Very similar to Messi's goal

Bale should win it because the way he finished the ball was fast cause he didn’t got time for it as it was coming from a striking set piece also the jump makes it accurate to get the ball wish gives him (bale) the perfect momentum to put enough power on it and all these facts make his goal accurate and perfectly timed wish (for me) is it the goal of the year

I agree with both players but i see Bale a bit ahead. Even more difficult. Great placement for a bycicle goal and it was in the CL final. CR7 had a better technique and it also deserves the award but dang, i never thought there will be better Goal than CR7s one.

Because the goal keeper was karius the blunder, not buffon the legend. Buffon could not even moved because the perfect placement from ronaldo and his jump, noone ever jump that high for bicycle kick. Bale was great, but somebody had done that. Ex. Ronaldinho. Thats why they voted for Ronaldo. I knew he would win.
