If you check out how some of the tuktuk cars are made in the so called less developed countries they do similar type things and haul crazy hillbilly kinda loads with them. I hope my version is going to work and thanks for watching

Your my kinda dude I put together a machine shop because I got tired of buying specialty tools everytime I worked on something lol also taught myself how to use it currently setting on a 16x144 koping lathe a old wells index mill a jet radial arm drill and a heck of a load of tooling and access

I have been tooled up a few times in my life but setbacks happen. I am pretty much in the boat of not knowing the “right” way to do things has forced me to learn how to just do it and If it works then it’s awesome and if it doesn’t then I can always call it art

This is gonna be awesome. food for thought your gonna want to run the gsxr in the highest gears first then shift the car transmission to put less torq into that tiny input shaft. I hope that one bearing is enough to hold up the flywheel. i dont see a pilot bearing stub on that transmission. i think if it did have a pilot bearing one bearing would be enough but without it i think a two bearings would be best. also the crankshaft is cast and it will weld fine but the strength of the joint might come into question as that bike is pretty big power. honestly the bike engine has a clutch i bet you could get away running direct and using the bike clutch to shift and not having the car clutch at all. that hole saw hole must have been awful to drill. i got a best arc pilot arc plasma cutter off amazon that i absolutely love i know you would too. you sure are getting a lot of use out of your lathe and i thought the rebar center punch was awesome too. this is my type of thing that your up too. thanks for the video. you keep posting and ill keep watching

You are right on all counts. I will start off in 5th on the bike tranny which is 1 to 1 ratio and I forgot to show that I drilled and pinned the welded parts and used high nickel rod and heat treated after but I thought I might loose people with all the babbling I was already doing. If the bearing doesn’t work I will try a unit bearing and stub axle out of a bent jeep front axle I have in one of the piles somewhere

Think about this like a semi truck except your gonna have 30 forward gears and 5 reverse lol probably split allot of gears I doubt you’ll be able to utilize the max over drive of it because of the torque amplification would probably put the engine down to like 800 rpm at 75 those engines lack in any real low end torque so your shaft will likely survive

@@jeremycable51 there won’t be a bunch of overdrive though. The bikes last gear’s probably one to one same speed as the crankshaft. So it won’t have any more overdrive than the pt cruiser had
