Finland has enough underground bunkers and facilities to house the entire population safe against missile attacks. Finland is also pretty well armed. Likely the safest place to be.

Everyone needs to look at the whole Russo-Baltic situation from a common sense point of view. The Baltic and European Nations would not need an organization like NATO if it were not for the aggressive and invasive attitude of Russia. At the end of the Cold War we should have seen Russia progressively join the World trade organisations and recruit former Soviet Nations into a trade conglomerate that would rival both the West and China. Instead Putin has opted to restore the status quo, i.e. create the Soviet Union V2.0 by means of aggression, brutality and threats. This has made NATO even more viable, as indicated by two previously reluctant Nations joining NATO, which is in a way, unfortunate. What the World really wanted, and needed, after the fall of the Soviet state, was for NATO to be redundant. In this sense Putin demonstrates his stupidity and impatience. He could have used the last 20 years to create an impression of peace and cooperation and watch NATO dissolve; Russia would have then had the opportunity to ambush the West when the major power they were defending against was seen to be irrelevant. Instead they continued with the classic Imperial approach and continued to victimize their neighbours and others i.e. Transnistria, Chechnia, Georgia, Abkhazia, Syria. This is a huge indicator of the weakness and fragility of Putin. He could not set a long term plan in place; he needs to be the Imperial Ruler right now, in his lifetime. It also indicates that the plan is a Putin plan, as opposed to a Russian plan. We need to eliminate Putin.

Baltic Sea is quite vulnerable nearly closed ecosystem. A serious "accident" with any of these museum pieces would cause massive economic problems right away. By the way, the Ahvenanmaa Island is the correct Finnish name for Åland, which is it's Swedish name. That archipelago is an autonomous de-militarized tertirory of Finland. Ruzzia is known to weaponize civilian vessels, just like the Chinese freighter rhat purpotedly cut and damaged the gas pipeline and submarine internet cable with it's anchor in Gulf of Finland last year.

Sweden can harden Gotland on their own initiative. They don't need either NATO permission or NATO garrison troops. Russian action against or on Gotland should be precluded, whether covert, hybrid or overt. Svalbard should also be secured.

Finland fought with Russia when it was stronger than ever (the Soviet Union in Stalin's era). Finland won most of the battles but loss the war because there were no ammos left (Finland was alone). Sweden failed the war big time when they last time faced Russia in 1808-1809. The US experts have much greater expertise than these Brits. 1. Just a couple question to "contemplate": How is it even possible for Russia, to be a member of the Security Council? The USSR, was a member, and as I see it, you can`t "inherit", such a position. Russia, is a completely different country, by it`s name, borders, laws, etc. This is not, a country, selected to participate in UN. Correct me, if I am wrong. And, why is For an example, Germany still "sleeping", and possibly waiting for Ruzzians, to knock on Berlins door, again?
