Vladimir Putin plans to rebuild the former Russian empire, US Senator John McCain has claimed. He told presenter Zeinab Badawi that the Russian president aims to separate eastern Ukraine from the rest of the country, which Putin has previously denied, before reclaiming Moldova and the Baltics.
The former Republican presidential candidate also criticised President Barack Obama for refusing to supply Ukrainian forces with arms and intelligence, which he claimed had encouraged Putin to take a more aggressive approach within the region.

It did not age well for Zeinab Badawi. The problem is, these BBC commentators look like idiots when they are looked at in retrospect. McCain is giving her valid information, and she is saying idiotic things like, "Putin has never said he wants to invade eastern Ukraine...." (Actually, Putin has made it very clear for a long time that he is still mad that Gorbachev would not let him leave the Dresden barracks to put down the Eastern European trends toward democracy.) This is the problem with the media. They have a Weltanschauung and they will not report anything that differs from that view. They ask questions to show their viewers/listeners that they are smarter and better than the interviewee. This is particularly true when interviewing Republicans or British interviewing Americans. The mems are that (1) Americans obviously are not as sophisticated in diplomatic affairs as those older and wiser Europeans and (2) Republicans/conservatives are stupid. How's that working out for the audience? They are getting dumber and dumber watching the BBC, NBC, ABD, reading the Washington Post and The New York Times. And they don't even realize the effect they are having on the electorate in these democratic countries. The media are destroying democracy in order to save it. They will be multiple autocracies and war.

The USA silently invaded Ukraine before 2014, committed a coup there in 2014 and planted puppets there in the government, which have allowed and cheered to murder of 14000 people in the Donbas from 2014-2021, so before this falsely so called 'war'. No, john Mccain overall was a TERRIBLE senator. Voted 99 percent of the time in favor of corporations, against basic social justice, and never met a war he didnt like. I’ll admit to some degree he was a man of character and stuck to his principles, however most of his principles were awful. It shouldnt be a shocker that a warhawk like mccain was able to see through putin’s bullshit. And i’ll give him more credit than that i think he knew in detail the depths of Vlad’s evil intentions on a level other warhawks didnt. To his credit, he was always spot on with his views on Russia and Obama did screw up royal during the Crimea situation. That said i also understand why Obama failed with Russia. Foreign policy in general is a hella complex thing and while i consider myself a firm Leftist, not a Liberal, and somewhere between a Social Democrat and a full on Socialist, i’m more centrist when it comes to Foreign Policy and never been one for Isolation policies or the blatant statement that the US should mind its business and let countries do whatever they want, thats how the Holocaust happened. Im not saying the US should invade russia or start killing Russian trumps in Ukraine, but there have to be hard lines set and support for Ukraine or Vlad will literally just use nuclear ransom to control half of europe

All because the lack of freedom and the authoritarian dictatorship is so much in line with Santas big book of fascist little elves. Middle east is so fucked up man. Tyrant after tyrant after tyrant. It's all about murdering your way to power and then oppresssing someone, until someone murders you and takes the power and starts oppressing someone else. Constantly fighting each other. You do realize that that is what the democracy is for right? It's for turning all this fighting civilized. Democracy is a proxy for a civil war. And that civil war is fought between parties and even within parties, without any bloodshed. It's civilized way of fighting for the power. Voters determine the outcome. Middle East continues to be uncivilized. We constantly see many young men entering our free countries, fleeing war in the middle east and leaving women and children behind. And then we sometimes see them go back to the middle east to fight and chop the heads off of all the infidels. The only thing that really unites people in the Middle East is their hatred for the zionist state Israel and their hatred of the free world. It's a barbaric culture down there. Even the Russians are more civilized with their pretend-democracy, at least the lesser intelligent part of the Russian population think that they are civilized and believe they have democracy and the smarter part of Russian people knows they don't have democracy but want to have democracy. Middle East straight up doesn't want anything to do with democracy. They'd rather keep all their barbaric internal fighting with full-on bloodshed.

Looking at the BBC journalists, one could well assume that on the British island, there are no white people left and that nowadays black people make up 100% of the population. But according to the British census of 2011, white people represented 87% of the population, while black people only 3%. Does the BBC employ people exclusively on a racial base? And by "racial" I mean: "Everyone but not a white, indigenous people". That would make the BBC the perfect example of that phrase that white people are accused of today: "Institutional racism". By the way, it looks like in the "West", in 2014, everybody was so involved in creating social instability, creating internal social unrest, creating classes of "Oppressors" and "oppressed" people, women against men (Feminism 3.0), LGBTQA+ against straight, black against white, and in Balkanizing the society that nobody was taking care of what authoritarian regimes (Read Russia, China, Iran) were planning around the world. Well, the long game played by Moscow, the target of the planned "Ideological subversion" has been achieved.

Back then in 2013, Ukraine under Yanukovych was weighing trade deals and loans. The EU promised Eastern Partnership, but it would compromise the Ukraine-Russia-Belarus Customs Union. Among others, such a trade deal with the EU would heavily burden Ukraine with its notoriously convoluted regulations and standards given its economic realities, and would relegate it to the fate of Romania: become cheap migrant workers abroad, minimal improvements at home. The IMF also offered loans with conditions of liberalization (i.e. selling assets to globalist companies) and lessening subsidies for its people. Russia, instead, offered roughly the same amount of loans plus cheaper gas, on the condition Ukraine stays friendly to Russia. After this, the NGO-led insurrection against the Yanukovych presidency was instigated. Remember, this is the same McCain that pushed for intervention in Libya and cheered the toppling of Ghaddafi, leading to the flood of Middle Easterners and Africans into Europe. If those of you who comment here fond of McCain are conservatives, what exactly are you conservative about? Conserving the Military-Industrial Complex that send your sons to foreign wars with lies and dubious national security goals? Conserving the globalist companies that push D.E.I. policies and mass migration diluting your demographics, toppling your cherished monuments and promote gender-confusion to your sons and daughters as if they represent the same honest capitalism as your mom-and-pop shops (which, btw, have been gobbled up by Walmart and Target)? Please, realize there is a difference between the US people and the US hegemonic institutions! You do not benefit from endless wars. You do not benefit from US interventions. You do not benefit from US companies exporting its industrial capacity from your homeland to any desperate country to run sweatshops. You do not benefit from your tax-money sent to Ukraine for weapons while Philadelphia has people who are zombified. You do not benefit from the inflation as result of debt for the cause of war in Ukraine.

I appreciate the flair of including a motivational speech in the standard Kremlin narrative blah blah blah... nice initiative and thank you for the much-needed variety, I think I actually started to hear a symphony swell in my head towards the end. Really, the repetition of the same 5-8 bullet points of verifiable bs makes me wish I was the type of idiot to have a gun in the house so I can blow my brains out spontaneously at the 100th mention of a US-backed coup, after which Obama literally just told his new pawns "welp, good luck!" and hopped away without giving them any weapons to fight, as McCain says. Which sure is stylistically different from how past US-backed coups were carried out, but maybe coups don't need weapons for your new puppets to play with or any significant follow-up/a plan/a crap to give about the region the country is in (which Obama famously didn't, given his reply in 2012 to Romney saying Russia was the biggest national security risk was that the "Cold War called and it wanted its foreign policy back" and was a China hawk). Maybe the US does coups just out of habit or addiction now, or just to prove they still can, even if the fallout is seen as a huge inconvenient distraction from actual geopolitical goals. In the real world, the medal for the Crimea theft given to various war criminal hero liberators shows that the start date for the mission was 20 February 2014. Which is particularly interesting as the snipers did not do their massacre until 21 February and Yanukovych did not "flee for his life" (after 3 days of CCTV footage showing leisurely loading of endless tacky (like, the Russian kind of tacky, not the regular kind) truckloads of totally public sector salary possessions, mind you) until early hours of 22 February like a little bitch. Or like a little Putin, who sure was MIA on the crisis line until it was clear that Moscow was safe, like a true Russian patriot. The only evidence for a "western coup" is a leaked call where Nuland was discussing who of the protesters would be best positioned to hold the country over until the next election in the deal she was brokering between them and Yanukovych. She had a preference for which of the three would be best in the PM role since Yanukovych needed to replace his (the one with government experience and the logical choice, shocker). That's the whole thing. Then there was an election in May. Then another in 2019. So the guy she chose was effectively in charge for three months. That's the whole thing. Yanukovych's annoying dead son was whining about western coups from December 2,, so basically one day after the POS coups did their favorite thing and beat a few dozen college kids peacefully protesting because they had to clear them to install a Christmas tree and this caused hundreds of thousands to join the next day. All cops being bastards caused the Maidan Revolution, except in the minds of schizophrenics in the Kremlin and their bitch-ass dead puppetsons who are certain that the US must surely stage as many events as their loser country does for something as casual as filling a stadium. Therapy might have helped not see the CIA behind every corner, but alas the paranoid freak has outsourced his personal traumas to the world and his idiots, useful or otherwise, spread the western-backed coup gospel far and wide, always with no detail or explanation, never mind any actual evidence. But hey, at least you had a motivational speech! Really is interesting about the whole February 20 thing though. Somehow the liberation of Crimea started two days before the event that supposedly provides the justification for stealing land like a bitch because "Kyiv junta, illegitimate, poof magic, no treaties such as Budapest Memorandum apply, everyone knows change government turmoil in sovereign states nullifies all of the country's borders and treaties,I steal land now, all dots and is crossed, sanctions are Russophobic since we did things so lawfully, like, it would totally work in Russia, I don't understand why you Russophobes don't accept our world-renowned judicial system where social media posts (only if true) get you ten years in jail and a mutiny with a private army that shot down pilots gets you a payout and a relocation package, it just makes sense, just like Crimea always being Russian and us always being innocent victims, if you don't let me steal land I will nuke you or at least pout on the bench for an hour, because being the sorest of losers is one of the Russian society's main cultural traits (be it losing their SMO, their fencing match badly, or their superpower status 30 years ago,, which the denial and inability to come to terms with is really at the core of everything else, isn't it). The only people who could possibly prepare an operation in advance of presumably shocking events to come in the next few days are the coup plotters though, so it must be nothing since it's not Obama that has a medal for the liberation of Crimea starting on February 20th, and certainly no one could ever suspect Russia to be behind the coup, because everyone knows it was a western-backed coup, perfectly proven by overly overwhelming evidence that Nuland, as a diplomat, had an opinion about something diplomats should have opinions about, 100% smoking gun. Actual documented GRU presence/meetings in Kyiv around the 20th-21st makes me even more sure that this was a CIA-backed coup as I'm sure the Russian spies were only there to hunt down all the CIA operatives stage-managing the snipers. No evidence of any, but evidence is unneeded to know that the CIA-backed coup is the justification for why Russia was forced to do a crisis management land grab in Crimea that otherwise would not have happened except it started two days before said provocation happened. It all makes sense once you understand that time is not linear and the CIA probably has time dilation weapons it was testing for use against ethnic Russians and so that explains everything perfectly and biolabs in Ukraine, QED. Unless... it's not like he had a top pick for who would best fill in as PM for a few months so things settle down as a stop-gap until elections as part of diplomacy while working as a diplomat or anything equally defitive, but there is audio via the Surkov tapes in which be is coordinating all the various payouts for people to be "protesters" in Crimea, and Odesa, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Kherson, Luhansk. Most fizzled out, two regions had critical Ghirkins in enough numbers to almost pass off the local criminals and drug addicts and mafia types agreeing to take such money are actual independent separatists and it's totally an organic civil war and the Russian military totally isn't just waging war on Ukraine(because Obama legitimately did not care about this region and couldn't be bothered to react more than he absolutely had to to Russia being a clown show, never mind that Ukrainians gave up nukes and were actually promised something more, hope the smug prick loses a kid so he actually feels something real).

@jasminekaram880 Kremlin my fckin ass, it's not a narrative it's a simple concept you can't understand for some reason which is that NATO was originally invented to protect Europe from the Soviet Union which does not exist anymore so why did NATO persist for 3 decades, don't say because of Russian aggression cuz that shit didn't start until after NATO was already on Russia's border which is a valid security concern. NATO is an aggressive offensive organization, when they killed Qaddafi that was not defensive, when they bombed Afghanistan, that was not defensive, when they destroyed Syria, that was not defensive and when Serbia was bombed in 1999, that was not defensive either. This is all a tactic pushed by people like John McCain and Mike Pompeo to move closer and closer to Russia's borders to provoke them and to make money from the weapons companies who are desperate to empty their stocks. This is a valid security concern Russia has had long before anybody heard of "tHe TYrAniCaL DIctaToR pUtiN." NATO didn't only expand but swallowed almost all of Russias neighbors, which any country would see this as an aggressive posture like if Mexico, Cuba, and Venezuela jumped into an alliance with China to counter the US, you would quickly see aggression. The encirclement from an Alliance that did all those horrific acts I mentioned before is lead by the US which is the only country to ever use nukes mind you and says Russia is enemy #1. Also don't forget how our Boris Johnson told Zelensky to pull out of the peace talks in Turkey which would have solved everything but Zelensky as the agent he is did as he was told.
