His demands are actually pretty reasonable considering the "evil bloodthirsty warlord" he's supposed to be. He's not even saying anything regarding Odessa, meaning he's willing to let Ukraine have this highly strategical city that will highly contribute to bring their country back up should the war ends. If Russia just wanted to destroy Ukraine plain and simple, Odessa would definitely be on the negotiating table. But if Ukraine doesn't want to negotiate at all, then Russia might very well end up taking it the old fashion way, although it will certainly take time, if Western aid doesn't stop that is. As soon as Ukraine runs out of ammunition, Russia will be able to take whatever they want with no resistance.
