The leaders of North Korea and Russia have signed what they called their “‘strongest-ever”’ mutual defence agreement. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 19, 2024, that “mutual assistance” would be provided in case either country faces aggression. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un added that the pledge has grown into a “new higher level of alliance” between the two countries. Putin’s visit to North Korea was his first in 24 years. It was closely watched by the US and South Korea, which share concerns about growing ties between Pyongyang and Moscow.

Russians are actually happy to see their country working with China, India, North Korea, Vietnam, Iran, and other countries. Unlike the West, Russians don't look down on Global South countries, and don't believe their country/system is superior over other people's. Russia is getting far better foreign policy results than the NATO bloc who everyone now perceive to be a threat.

In the future, we might see Russian military technology used by North Korea to improve the accuracy, power and range of her nuclear missiles to hit the whole of the continental USA or every American military asset in the first to third island chain in the Pacific Ocean. Putin and Kim Jong Un will give the USA plenty to think about as both nuclear powers are so much stronger together in this alliance. They need each other and are safer in this alliance together.
