Putri is indeed very special. She has such a deep personality ! At the same time, she is so sweet ! And above all so talented ! You perhaps know that she had got a list of 15 songs to memorize for the semi-final. The U2's song was choosen by AGT at the last moment, just when she arrived in Los Angeles ! What a challenge ! She nailed it so brilliantly ! Her rendition of this song is a pure marvel, the way she arranged it, the way she sang it...stunning !!! And...she looked so beautiful on stage, in the white spot-light, in her somptuous sparkling dress ! She really deserved her name : PRINCESS.

The work she does on each cover is excellent, brilliant and attractive. Better or not, the pleasure to listen to these covers can be as great if not greatest than to the originals. Putri is a real artist, able to create and transform. She has a deep soul to. These qualities together give masterpieces.

Thank you, Elizabeth. I have been waiting for your reaction to this❤. There are a lot of amazing singers with great vocal techniques in the world. But very few can touch our hearts like Putri. I have listened to this performance for the umpteenth time, but I still got teary-eyed when I listened to it here with you just now. Putri is not just another singer. She's a musician. She doesn't just copy other singers' original. She made the songs her own while still paying a lot of respect to the originals. Sometimes, she sang them even better. This is the first song that Putri had completely rearranged. In a recent podcast, Putri said that this song was picked for her by AGT team. At first, she tried to understand the meaning of the song. She believed that everybody is looking for something in his or her life. For Putri herself, she's still looking for people to acknowledge her as a musician because people still look at her only as a blind person. That's one of the reasons why her rendition could touch people's heart. Because they can relate to her interpretation of the song. I hope that Putri will win this AGT 2023 competition 🙏. To be honest since the age of 13 music has played a major part of my life. Not as a musician or anything but as a listener of all genres. Never in my life time has any one person impacted me as much as Putri has, she has it all. The next 5-10 years will be very exciting. Its like she reaches into ones heart and rips it out. Love it.

I honestly dont know if ny eyes were dry throughout the entire song. I already loved the original song, but the way she interpreted the words and the feeling of the song to fit her experience is just pure genius!I said this on another channel but it reminds me of a similar scenario we had with Oliver Anthony just a short while ago. At a time when the world needs the most healing, u still have people like this with passion and it gives u hope. And hope has been hard to come by these days. Beautiful song and reaction! 👍 I had to jump in and say one more thing. U are the only reacter to say anything about the crackle at the end being intentional. A few mentioned it could be nerves, but its hard to believe it wasnt intentional when shes that good. And even if it were intentional she certainly could use it as a sort of signature since I've never heard anything like it, and it was absolutely perfect!

That one place toward the end where she comes down and there seems to be an unusual shuddering, that seems to be an attempt at an Arabic yodel, which I think she does rather well. It certainly added emotion to that run down. (Dimash is a master at that Arabic sound). May Putri continue to rise via AGT or whatever path which lies ahead!

That's exactly what I thought, because I familiar with dimash sing that tehnic that's why I didn't pick up that as crack when Putri singing that, I only realize until people saying that in the comments section. I would like to see a reactor do video comparing Putri yodeling tehnic with dimash or other Arabic singer that also using that sad crack tehnic, So people will know and familiar with what kind of tehnic is that.

Pretty good guess. With Dimash, we never see him recites the Qur'an or does the adzan (call for prayers) where we usually hear the arabic yodel being used. Im sure he does it, he probably just doesnt publicly share it. With Putri, there are quite a few videos where she recites the Qur'an with beautiful touching arabic yodel.

Most of the people doesn't really experienced her emotions through the song, but she potrayed it perfectly. Normal people will say there's a crack at a part before end, but some people with sense of emotion would see the pain, the struggle, the battle, the joy, and everything at those part that she gave apart from the nervousness

I hate people saying that her voice cracked. If it did crack, the judges would already picked it up. It is just part of the performance.

The crack is a rare tehnic vocal which usually sung by people in middle eastern etnic song, Dimash in his stranger song also use this yodeling tehnic. For anyone who didn't familiar with this tehnic think it's crack.

Your analysis is arguably the best one uploaded for this performance by Putri. That vocal tremble or flutter of Putri was totally intentional and is a cultural style popular in South Asian, Arabic, and SE Asian songs. It's only done by highly-experienced, professional vocalists.

Since we are talking about a U2 song…here is the letter I wrote to them in 1987! Enjoy! I saw you guys on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987 at MTSU-Middle Tennessee State University Saturday November 28th 1987. The Bodeans opened up for you. I remember at the time Larry had a crush on Wynonna Judd and she came out and sang a duo with Bono! I didn't have tickets to the show. A friend of mine drove us 3 hours from East Tennessee to see the show. We bought tickets at the box office for $18.50. We ended up 8th row center stage! I remember back then the band held back tickets for fans who were willing to make the drive and couldn't get tickets via phone or record store locations. Thanks again to Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr for making a special album and tour! I was 18 and had just graduated High School that year! All the Best! Gary Lagstrom

Love your insightful reaction. Not much attention is paid to the fact that a singer has to perform within a very limited time during the audition and qualifier stages. And, in the compacted time frame, he/ she will have to showcase all his/her skills. It will be great to see Putri perform her songs in full where the full range and beauty of her vocals will be on display.

Yes, her mom taught her. I remember watching her audition on Indonesia’s got talent 2014 it was emotional, she was only 8 y.o . Her dad decided to quit his job and focus on helping putri to reach her dream because she told him that “dad, even though I can’t see the world, I want the world to see me”. ❤

Putri's vocals are stunning with plenty of emotion but I feel like I lost the story of the song. I have enjoyed many of her other performances over this one. I am rooting for her to WIN this season of AGT and look forward to many years of listening to her.

Hey Andy, nice to see you here! Putri is great without a hint of a doubt, but Elizabeth even doubles the pleasure, don't you think? She was born for doing exactly this. All her vocal training in retrospective was just a preparation for what she's doing, at least that's how I see it... What a loss it would have been for the world had she continued to develop her active musical career...

If this moved you ( and it should have) You have got to listen to Emma Kok singing Voita with Andre Rieu conducting. Maastricht 2023. You will have more than just a tear in your eye. Unbelievably beautiful. Even more so when you here about her story. This will blow you away i promise. There is an English subtitled version of this too. And the lyrics are beautiful also.

I am one of those who is very moved by music. Music constantly brings me to tears, it just reaches so deep inside of me. I can see by your facial expressions that you also feel the touch. It makes me want to have a conversation that will never be, but I must say that I delight in you. I played guitar in a band, and I stood behind the curtain whenever there was one. I wanted to sing so badly, but every time I tried I just choked up. And I really think I could have been good. Oh well. Not sure why all that came out.

She qualified for the AGT finals thanks for the stunning song that the American on-line to vote her! Yes...your are right...the Acappella is the most difficult even for a polished singer... And she sings while playing piano seated throwing her heavenly vocal... The emotion she packed into the U2 song she re-arranged and in her own version, even Pat Bono would be proud! Even if she don't win AGT 23, SHE WON OUR HEARTS❤❤❤❤❤ After AGT, PUTRI ARIANI will belong to the WORLD! She is no more an Indonesian Young Blind Girl! Wow I think among all the vocal trainers reactors whom I have watched for this performance you are the most detailed in your analysis , Elizabeth. It reflects not only the depth of your knowledge on the the vocal technicalities but you put a great deal of emphasis on the emotive expression of the performance… One of the talking points common across all reactors (trained vocalists or otherwise) as well as commentators in Putri’s semi-final performance is the near end part. There were various comments like it was a tremble, wobble…some untrained vocalist reactors even used the term - failed, messed up, etc. But your explanation is I think most interesting. You mentioned the word “flutter” which if deliberate would be an astounding technique given the high note preceding it, the emotions she trying to express and the highly stressful stage environment. Like you said we do not know whether Putri intended to do it or was it a technical glitch. So far in her post interviews to the media this question has not been asked. And I believe we will never ever know. Her final AGT performance will be on 26 Sept in Vegas. The performances of each finalist would usually be uploaded at the AGT channel about 1/2 hr later. Just fyi. Thanks again for the wonderful reaction, ❤& ☮️……

Although this one was only a cover of Bono but Putri always surprises us with what she takes out of her mouth and her heart. was really looking forward to your reaction to this performance. You seem to understand the art better than most reaction channels not just the vocal technique, and an artist on Putri's level deserves to have the best minds in the game breaking down her performance and the intricate details of her artistic expression. As a fan I look forward to learning these details. Putri get's me everytime, there's something other wordly about her voice, just the tone and clarity with zero inauthentic expression. She has done many other great performances when she was younger I'm sure you'd enjoy reacting to some of those as well.
