I will begin to redo all of my HE walkthroughs, only this time making them full length and fixing any stupid errors I made in their originals (for instance, here, I turned on 256 color mode to prevent the fade glitches, I made the visit to Mr. Baldini's worthwile, and made the frame rate much better), while also trying to get different paths. Here is Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, the first HE game ever. I tried to do as much as you could do in the game, so I went through both the Car Wash and the Paint Job.

You know what I'm doing now? I'm marathoning all the Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam, and Spy Fox games, plus the Buzzy the Knowledge Bug and Blue's Clues games, in chronological order. It's going to be neat slowly watching the computer graphics and animation improve over the years. I love Humongous Entertainment! ^^

This is nearly 30 years old. 30. I'm 31 and I has such strong memories of this game as a child. It's so entrenched in my mind. I have just had my first child, I hope she has something like this in her life, I hope she has a future that brings warm memories back too.

I'm 100% sure that playing games like this helped me a lot to learn english language as a kid. It warms my heart to watch this again as an adult. I played it so much that I almost remember all the conversations :)

Maybe he actually does have parents, they're just never shown or mentioned because they aren't relevant to the plots. There could be more to Putt-Putt's house that we don't see because there's no need to. Like Freddi Fish's parents and Luther's parents, the games never mention them either and we never see Freddi or Luther's homes at all, but they have them.

Shelly Day is the one that made Putt-Putt, but before is was turn into a game he was a bed story to her 3 year old son. And it made be Putt Putt that gave the UK the idea to make Brum. So Putt-Putt is almost like Thomas and Friends when they were made.

I found this game on my external HD and fired it up- with Scummvm. Still works. Curious if there's any way to extract the .HE1, HE2 data files of the game. I found some program but it only extracts the music from the game. I want the sound effects and voices.

It's pretty unusual how the air-escaping sound effect at 8:27 only shows up on the MS-DOS version if it's played on ScummVM.

This really does sound better since there is no text displayed due to the pauses when there are.

You can somewhat fix that (not that many people know this) -- if you press the - or + keys on your keyboard, the text speed will change and it will properly cut off at the right time if you set it fast enough. The only problem is that some dialog is broken down into two or three pieces of text, and when you have the speed on all the way, you barely get a chance to see the first one or two pieces.

I played this game and the one whit putt putt and the bear where you can play mini games.... this whit freedy fish was my early way to learn English
