Ryan, you are providing feedback to the track from a drivers perspective. Use the word feedback. Tracks want feedback, and when enough drivers are giving the same feedback, things change. Your on to a excellent viewer experience with the in car narration and the MPH display. I watch alot of dirt racing on KZfaq and your narration with MPH and G forces is something nobody is doing. Keep it up!!

I can understand redrawing the winners of each heat. Sounds like they put the top two of each heat together as a whole group and redrew that group. If that is the case then you had zero luck in the redraw obviously. You are a very clean racer. You maintained your poise despite the bad luck and that is very admirable! You have earned a fan.

There's too many cars in the redraw. I don't know how many cars showed up in your class but drawing over 8 is way too much. It should be the first two cars of each heat get a redraw. Hammer down 🏁💥

Pretty sure there were total 24 cars with 20 making the feature. I agree top 2 in heat should redraw.

That motor sounds right,I just built a new car after a bad wreck, bought a used motor we took the car out and everytime you hammer down the left front wheel comes off the ground and the chassis twist, couldn't figure out what was going on,I kept checking suspension and frame and mounts, finally yesterday had the motor Dyno tested thing was making 1300 so I ordered a new one so I don't get disqualified,il out the other in my mud truck, great video thanks for sharing

Next Friday give them a call and ask them if the format is the same, tell them you are going somewhere else if it is. They lose cars then they lose fans, won't be hard for them to understand when they have 6 late models show up. Everyone wants to see a good race with good passing but the cars up front have to be similar speed otherwise you end up with lots of cautions and tore up cars. Some racers depend on race winnings to eat, can't afford to chance a good car on a bad redraw.

Back in the 80s we raced at San Jose speedway on the 3/8 mile. We ran supermodified cars. They are like a Sprintcar. Back then The line up for the A Main was always inverted. We got into the trophy dash most nights so we started in the back row most nights. Our A mains we 30 laps. So the poll car was the slowest car in the Main. most nights the guys starting in the back would end up in the top 5. We would win 10 to 14 races out of the 34 / 36 ran in a year. That was open wheel racing in California 1980 to 88. If I could I would post a picture of the cars I built. The stock cars I don't think they inverted them. Like your car I think you are going to win some in it. It sounded like you were buzzing the tires in the middle out.

It was common to invert the fields at all local tracks at least as far back as the late 40's after the war and I'd assume even before the war. Even Eldora in 53 or 54 when they opened.

I don't understand the point of redraw maybe you can enlighten me. You should qualify, that determines heat race start. 1st through 4th goes to feature the others run a b main. Why do anything else?

Great run Ryan you got a bad fast car and that redraw is pure crap that is so stupid I think I would have put my car in the trailer and went to the official and addressed my displeasure you win the heat and get put back to 11th that is so stupid here in Florida at Volusia speedway park where they run the woohoo late models world of outlaws they take the first four cars and the rest run the B main you need to go to the officials Ryan cuz to me you got penalized for being fast anyway great run my man look forward to your next video.

If your going to qualify for position in Heat then you run good and Win your Heat to get a good position in Feature just to be put in the back of all the cars you already beat to get front starting position don't make since to me that just says it don't matter if he is better than you, you just have to be luckier than him and get a better draw, you sir ran an amazing race and I am now subscibed to you I can't wait to watch more.

I get a redraw with that many cars but if y po u win your heat you should only have to draw 1-4 and 2nd 5-8 3rd 9-12 that's fair. Not winning a heat and start 11 with 20 car field on a 25 lap race

Yes, that was common for many, many years to promote a better show with passing guaranteed. It didn't seem to hamper the good cars but they for sure had to work to their potential and with equal cars the best driver prevailed. A car that raced much faster than it qualified was also DQ'd. for the obvious reason. Drawing for whatever amount of positions would seem better for you than that, plus you had the same chance of being on pole as the others getting to draw whether 6 or 11. Just a bad break for you Ryan, next time maybe a good break by the luck of the draw. : )

Nice job Ryan, that redraw was ridiculous. If you win your heat you should be exempt from the redraw and let em sort it out with all the non heat winners on back. Hell if the heat winners drew from a deck of cards for the top 6 starting spots it would be better than what I just watched. Go get em next week, and may the force be with you I guess.

Not sure how many heat races they had but to redraw the top 11 is pretty dumb. Its most common to, if anything, invert or redraw the fastest 6. Period. Doing it the way they did allows for way to much sandbagging. Or the probability of it. The reason to go fast is to start up near the front so you're not putting yourself or your car in danger from the local riff raff that are not usually competitive.

Ryan I watched live on DIRTVision and couldn’t figure out how you started that far back in the feature after winning your heat race. I’m glad you enlightened me what a joke. Good run man that BS invert stuff is only good for one thing , tearing up equipment, I can honestly say all my life ive never gone to races to spectate an hope for crashes claiming this makes for a good show , although I haven’t my own car I know how hard it is in every level

Curious about something Ryan; What size was that track? It looked bigger than some I see on other channels. You've mentioned Oak Shade in the past, if I'm not mistaken, it use to be 1/2 mile years ago.

Dont bend any wheels tried to order some new and they told me they wouldn't ship out till the end of August or September needless to say I changed my plans If they put me at 11 and the second place car still front row I would have put the car in the trailer and not run !

Heat winner should never redraw. Unless only winners redraw. I think redraw is dumb, I personally have never seen it done in the south. Ga.

Glad you broke down that redraw. I was dumbfounded. Why not just do away with the redraw all together? Qualify for heat starting spot and let the heat outcome determine starting spots for the feature. A 12 car redraw? idk... maybe i`m wrong but, thats a lil much! Car looked great though! Be seeing ya some where this year i`m sure!

If you let the heat determine the starting spot you’d need at-least a dash to even be moderately fair and determine what heat goes where. Gotta remember there’s between 4-6 heats at a track. That’s 4-6 different winners. Redraw is NEVER fair. The only true way to determine a fair starting order is with dual heat races with field inversion and allow best average to lay out the grid. But then the races end at 4:00 am.

@@RyanMissler Check out your boys from htf, all they do down there is qualify and line up for feature. Then they keep adding class because driver complain about cost. So they keep adding classes, 4 divisions of late models, 2 different mods and like 3 types of street stock all they qualify every single one of them. Tell me how thats good for the fans? Should just let fans in free since we don't matter.

I am feeling your pain, AND no you def were not rewarded for qualifying fast or winning the heat race. Fortunately, you as a racer have final say ... just choose not to race there until they straighten the format out a bit. However, it was a good test night on the new ride and learn what you need (or not need) for future races on a slick/dirty track.

Redraws are stupid, no purpose for it. At least with asphalt they'll invert the whole field at times and make it interesting, but not a random redraw which does nothing but confused the crowd and penalize the drivers who did well. Your car looked great, sounded even better.

The car looked great out there, but I understand completely where you are coming from, but it doesn’t make any sense at all to me. You either qualify or draw for your starting positions for the feature and you don’t redraw before the feature.!!! That’s a bunch of bull 💩 but great job. Car looked good new engine sounds good and looks like its got power. Looked like you couldn't get any bite on the out side. Thats the dumbest thing I have ever seen or heard having a draw back to 11th maybe the top 5 redraw but in a 25 lap race they are asking for a lot of trouble. I understand and agree with your point of view Ryan. Better luck next week buddy. You will my vote for sure!

Why are you guys even doing a redraw at all if you’re qualifying? Qualify with your group top x amount in each group transfer to the feature and the rest go to b mains if there’s enough cars there that you need to worry about B’s. Heat races aren’t usually a thing with supers. No reason to qualify if you’re running heats. Seems like another reason to drag the format out.

Yep what's the point of qualifying and winning your heat if they do a redraw. Back when I raced they did that so it would give the fans a great show with the top guy starting in the back and going to the front, but it sure tore up alot of cars doing that. Some of the slower cars paid no attention to the move over flag so when they turned in front of you you had to move them yourself. We did have one race that was fun called Australian pursuit. Fastest cars in the back and slowest up front, ran single file, you get passed you are out and pulled into the infield, sometimes there would be "discussions" between drivers in the infield, lol

Ive said that same thing forever. They penalize you for working your ass off for a fast car. It should be the other way around and if your slower you need to work to get your car better and get to the front. Im from the old school they wouldn't have put up this BS back then.

Raced for 29 years at over a hundred tracks. Never have I had a line up setting format like that. If they don't want to run heats , do qualifying hot laps in 2 sets. 1st set is the inside row. The 2nd is the outside row. If you r going to redraw the top 2 in each heat , it's either 4, 6 , or 8 depending on how many heats. Did the track person that concocted that system you had to do mabe suffer brain damage from the virus possibly?

I'm butt hurt it's not fair if you're on top of your game the cream always rises to the top there's nothing worse than seeing a feature event come across the checkered flag in the same position as the lineup attica has a very stout field of cars and it is what it is hell a large percentage of those guys could win if starting up front and if you think that's bad I guess you have never heard of the breakout rule
