In today's video we're experimenting with tissue paper in J Diction's epoxy resin. I've had this idea for a while and I finally had the chance to try it. This is a pretty simple resin craft that a beginner can try and you get some really pretty result. I'm surprised that the tissue paper actually handled being put in the resin when its such a fragile piece of paper. *When working with resins make sure you are working in a well ventilated room and be wearing the right PPE. Resin is a chemical and can make you sick if you don't take the right precautions.*

I learned something totally new…I never in my wildest thought that if you put another layer of resin over the one with the air bubbles, that they would disappear. MAGICAL!! I’m really still bewildered!! ❤❤❤

We have the same exact start to that ryme here, but it ends a little different. "Trick or treat, Smell my feet, give me something good to eat. If you don't I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear!!" Funny comparing with you!

Miss JB! It's so pretty!! Like stained glass! 🤗💕 Way back in the day, I found out that if u stamp or write on a white tissue paper and put it in resin, that the paper disappears and just leaves the design! (I'm sure u have to use ink like Stays On brand or something to be sure it doesn't bleed 🤔) but I thought that was so kewl 🥰 have u tried anything with that yet? 😃

@@JBKonsCreations oh yeah! It's been around for ages! 🤗💕 Lol, it's kind of the same thing like when u put white dried flowers and such in resin.. how they get transparent spots! A lot of times you actually have to paint or somehow color white flowers to make them retain a white color and not just disappear once soaked in the resin 😅 weird right? But could be super useful for something fun I'm sure! 🥰

How do you stop the resin from going yellow- Is this dependent on the ratio of resin to hardener?

Hi there, wondering if I could get your advice. I’ve just finished a piece of art where it’s covers a piece of A2 paper. The tissue is black itself with brown and yellow paper that surrounds A charcoal drawing. Just to give you an idea. The paper that I brought that was supposed to be waterproof wasn’t. So I am now thinking that I should pour epoxy resin over it. In your tissue paper piece of art, it doesn’t look like it bleeds. Do you have any advice before I ruin the piece of artwork LOL many thanks in advance

Great experiment!! 👏👏 But a bit more bling on both sides would have suited me more, but I love glitter!! 🌟 It's interesting that the purple is fading. 💜 Was it exposed to a lot of light or mostly inside lighting??

Nope. All the tissue paper has been exposed to the same lighting. I keep my tissue paper in my utility room which is dark most of the time and then I was keeping the tray under my tv piece which doesnt get much light either. It could be the pigment they used for the purple tissue paper .🤔 Very interesting how these things work. At least the blue is going strong!!😂😁

It looks so pretty when the light coming through the tray casts the colors onto the table. Makes sense that it was the purple that faded. Purple always seems to have a hard time being color fast, uv seems to damage it the most.
