I bought a bushel of corn from a local farmer, since we don't grow corn in our garden. I wanted to show you how I freeze corn. It's so delicious and sweet right now.
Thanks for following! And remember to be salt and light! - Sue

I use a vegetable peeler. I also put in big pan and put in oven to heat. Stir once or twice while heating. I also spray with cooking spray before putting corn in pan.

We don't have a big garden now, but we did when I was growing up. My mother now buys the McKenzie's creamed corn in the freezer (it comes in chubs like breakfast sausage or ground beef). We put up a lot of corn. My daddy insisted that we get it in the freezer as quickly as possible (within 30 minutes or close to it) from the time he picked it, especially the corn that was frozen on the cob. My mother made this too, and we got to stir it!

Mama Sue that corn is so beautiful ♥️ I usually get 10 dozen for the freezer. Sometimes 3 different times if I can find it! The green beans are so beautiful too! You can’t get any food better than fresh vegetables!!!!! I know you are Tired!! Don’t over do! Love you sweet friend ♥️

We always cook the corn first on the cob. We actually cook it like we were going to eat it off the cob then we cool it down before cutting off the cob. Then we cool the corn down again making sure completely cool before sacking it up in freezer bags then date it and freeze it to enjoy later.❤

One of my daughters and I bought 10dozen ears and made creamed corn with butter, 1/2 & 1/2, sugar and salt and froze it. I wasn’t sure how my corn would produce, well low and behold, my corn produced like crazy….I’m up to my ears in corn !!! Thank you Lord for the blessings of corn !!! I usually do all that mess outside but the flies and hornets were terrible, after getting stung I moved the mess inside…… oh well, the mess is so worth it !!! This is my first of your videos, I’m not sure of your illness but I’m glad you are better and I’m saying a prayer for continued healing 🙏🏻 Blessings

I just bought a bushel of corn for $25.00. I put mine in the freezer at 3 ears to a bag. You can also microwave the whole corn on the cob w/husk on for about a minute and that husk and silks will come right off sooo easy. But yep I just put mine in the freezer cob, and husk..all together.

We call that creamed corn. I even have a board that has a razor. I do 2 passes with each ear - I do them all with a tighter setting (to take off only the tops of the kernels) then, I open it up more to take off more. Then, like you, I get messy with the back or a knife to get the milk. To me, when I take out a bad of this frozen creamed corn, I am eating a treasure!

I blanch my ears of corn in boiling water for three minutes, let it cool on a big nice clean towel in front of the fan, cuts off so much easier and it is delicious.☺️

Fresh corn is so much better than store bought! Yum! We got a special corn cutter to speed up the process, but actually... I really think a knife works best and isn't hard to do. So glad God healed you and you are feeling better! You are such a blessing to us!👍😊👍

I've found it is helpful to wedge the ear of corn in the middle of a bundt pan to cut the corn off (as Momma & Daddy did). It holds the ear while most of the corn falls into the pan. I still use a knife to cut it off too. As Daddy always said & I have found hold the most true with my kitchen work...if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I am cutting off corn as I talk to you. I have the use of only my right hand due to stroke and aneurysm at age 36. I am now 64. Anyway I grabbed an old bench, payed a piece of the whiffle like shelf liner, placed my bowl on it for traction. I cut it off with a gizmo I got from pampered chef

I absolutely Love the pampered chef corn cutter! We just ordered us a couple more from amazon and did our corn recently. I have tried alot of different corn gadgets over the years and do not like any if them except this pampered chef one! Total game changer.

I'm sure you feel comfortable and experienced with using that "sharp" knife the way you do , cutting "towards yourself" ... but the golden rule has always been "cut away from yourself , and NEVER have any body parts in front if a sharp blade , always behind the blade" !!! ... p.s., you are fantastic , just love you , you have tons of experience and time put in , but you worry me crazy the way you use that knife ...
