How to Prevent Laundry from Colour Bleeding | Riya Samayal Tamil Tamil Nadu
Tips for new cloth washing
1. Read the Wash Care labels on your Clothes. Garment Manufacturers often put warnings like “wash with like colours” or “colour rubs off” on the labels of garments that are at risk of colour bleeding in the wash. If the label is unclear or your garment is old and you’re not sure whether it will bleed, set it aside to be tested.
2. Test for Colour Fastness using Cold & Warm Water. Dip corner of your new cloth for an hour. And then check back. If the colour of water change, then you cloth is not colour fast.
3. Separate your non colour fast clothes with your other laundry
4. Add a ratio of 50 gram of salt for One liter water. Dip your non colour fast clothes for half hour. Now it is not bleed colour.
5. Always Wash your White Clothes, Dark Colour Clothes and Heavy Jeans type Clothes separately
6. Machine wash gently to minimize friction. Always wash inside out to keep your clothes Shining and New Look.
7. Wash new cloth less.

Assalamu Alaikum sister. Very very useful pa. All cotton shawls are colour bleeding very badly. I hv 3 doubts. 1. After Salt wash just dry it or use plain water wash or soap wAsh... 2.Salt only for 1st wash or every wash. 3.already washed shawls indha madhiri try Panna colour bleeding stop aguma?

Wa Alaikkum salaam wa rahmatullah. 1. Dip in salt water and hang to dry in first fresh garment (Before wearing). No Plain water or soap wash. 2. Next time Check a piece of garment dipped in water for bleeding. Use salt water for second wash if needed. 3. Yes, Already wased garments also stop bleeding with this technique.
