PVC Gate Repair for your PVC Fence. We will also install a new gate latch. The PVC gates and fences look nice but are not very sturdy where they need to be. For roughly $20 we were able to repair this PVC gate and make it stronger than new. Take note of the great gate hinge that I was using. Highly recommended.

You have the same fence as me. I see the brackets you have on your fence. How do you remove a panel with those brackets. I take out the screws but i I can’t get it out

Any parts available to hold a vinyl self close gate open while you drive a mower through? Like vinyl gate hold back? I cant seem to find them anywhere.

Hello moparorange, I dont yet but I will. I am going to try to keep these videos very basic and common for most people. So, I wont be doing a video on pulling your transmission but my first auto video will be about recharging your air conditioner to make it cold again. Something that everyone can do but most people dont know how to do. I will cover how to remove scratches from paint and things like that. Although I also have a lot of musical instruments, I don't think I will be doing repair videos for them. The truth is that I am no expert in repairing them. Maybe re-wiring the pickups on guitars but that's about it. Thanks for the question and hopefully you subscribed. I have a few awesome videos coming in the next two weeks.

My screws keep falling out of the hardware on my vinyl hollow side gate. How do I secure them? I'm consistently finding hardware and screws on the ground.

I slipped a piece of wood inside of that PVC rail so the screws have something to grab onto

Did you glue the horizontal boards to the fence or did you use screws/bolts to hold them?

What are you using as a replacement board?

Chris.. it is the composite/PVC board that you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes. It is solid white all the way through and will never rot.

Is there any way to fill the holes where you old screws were? Is the add on piece you used to make the latch line up made of wood or vinyl?

yes, since the video I filled the holes with caulk. the add on piece is definitely to make it all line up. It is vinyl and not wood

oh yeah what you did not see (and I did not think was important) was later I went back over them with white calk. I did it after the rust removal video....

Cool... Just in case the caulk ends up not holding up long term, I found bondo works really well too. Dries within 15 or so minutes, just sand it but then a quick spray of some plastic paint in white (or whatever color fence) works well to. These damn gate latches are frustrating sometimes! It seems after a few years they need to be replaced and none of the mounts match previous ones.

good to know! I also have some marine fiberglass repair stuff that is like epoxy. I suppose that could work too
