Except because Forge isn't currently available, I'll be covering Forge and Fabric mods for Minecraft 1.16.5, as well as any new releases which are available on Fabric 1.17. On Discord, the developers of Forge said that they hope to have a public build ready within a few days for 1.17.

@@therealdeeves I'd say use one or the other, or the entire cavesystem will just be an open space with floating blocks everywhere.

Another good mod to get if you're on Fabric is Iris. It wasn't created this week but is a fairly new mod that allows you to use shaders at the same time as Sodium :)

i am on 1.16 too because of my potatoes pc doesnot have enough resource to run minecraft (the resource is opengl 4 or more but i have 3.9 only so ) :{

I play 1.16.5 fabric and I probably will keep using that version for a pretty long time since I got a fully customised pack for modded survival and a pack with client only mods for multiplayer
