Python Discord Bot Select Menu Tutorial (in depth)

I could not find a good video that explained select menus in python from the beginning to the end so I made this video to hopefully help people. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I am using VS Code as my IDE for this project.

Can you make a video showing how to dynamically make drop down lists. Make a generic command that takes a key value database or a parsed list. This way everything doesn't need to be hard coded and the list can be updated independently using other commands. Same for Buttons?

i have a question, how would i make the bot send the menu once a new channel is created? like if a channel that has the name ticket on it is created, the bot would send the menu there

Is there a way to delete the dropdown once it has been interacted and also is it possible to grab information from the dropbox once clicked. For example, if someone were to click "Hello" on the dropbox, the bot would then send a message in a channel of your choice saying "user has clicked Hello". Thanks!

To delete the interaction is really hard. Discord api has a DELETE rest api call that you can send a request with the interaction token to but it I haven’t got it to consistently work. And yes I think so. I haven’t tested this but by looking at the API it looks possible. try something in the if statement for example Ctx.guild.channels

@@vinixee if u can be sure, that there wont be any messages inbetween the bots message and the given reaction, you could just use purge()
