No such luck for higher ratings winner Benny Hill who was fired by an old Python producer who infiltrated Thames TV then went back to the BBC. I wondered why none of the Pythons spoke up for Benny..

Jeez John Cleese has really gotten old in the last 10 years. In a recent interview he had trouble speaking. He was so funny for the last 40 years. Guess we all get old and can’t hack it anymore and that’s it.

They had a falling out over various proposed projects for their 30th anniversary. There was going to be a film but that fell though, and then there was going to be a stage show, but that also fell through. So Idle felt his time had been wasted and he refused to take part in anything further.
