Ik ben blij dat er eindelijk eens iemand op youtube is die echt goed na denkt voordat hij iets zegt/upload en ook hele slimme dingen zegt bijvoorbeeld dat over de media en amerika. Ik kijk niet naar je vids vanwege je muzieksmaak, maar omdat je slimme opmerkingen maakt.

Ed, the intro and the logo is awesome, must say "killer ". I keep a regular watch of your promos and other videos which is a great enlightenment for fresh talents emerging out from the underground. I wouldn't have known about most of the new death metal bands who are pretty awesome if it wasn't from you. Keep up the good work. Horns up and stay brutal \m/ Hell yeah !!

Ed, I've been watching your videos for a while, and I just love them. It gives me insight into bands that I otherwise never would have listened to. I enjoy listening to you give your opinion on things because, I may not always agree, in fact I rarely do, but you always have some kind of reasoning behind it that is 100% rational. You never get mad about things, and you seem to take pretty much everything in stride. You manage to disagree without being rude at all. Thanks for your videos.

That might have been the case when I uploaded this video indeed..but my collection goes fast. It's at least 200 albums bigger by now...plus three or four of Entombed, I found a 1st press and signed copy of 'Left hand path' this weekend. I still like Iron Maiden, although they do have changed..but not to an annoying level such as Metallica did... cheers..;-)

@Meekklef No that was the first metal band in general, so then came Iron Maiden, Metallica, slayer...and Napalm Death was the first death metal / grindcore band.

@ChristianNiegemann Correct, but I do not 'Like' or 'Dislike' an entire genre..I look at the band, not what genre it is.

The metalhead question is great, death and black metal are essentially my best friends, but I also enjoy lots of other metal genres, folk,thrash, gothic, etc. But i also like metalcore, punk, industrial, post-hardcore/ screamo, and that doesn't make me less of a metalhead at all

No they won't cause it's all been registered how many shirts the band take with them to a tour. Let's say 100 shirts x 10$ then they must make sure they give label 1000$ in the end. The invested money must be paid back ofcourse. Only when a band prints shirts themselves they make money on it. Which in most cases is being spend on the band again anyway.

the metalhead question got me thinking: to be honest if you are only a metalhead if you listen to nothing but metal, there are probably very few "true metalheads" in the world, i mean look at me: i mainly like metal but i also listen to bring me the horizon, the red hot chilli peppers, u2, coldplay and led zeppelin. and the tiny bit of techno and dubstep, and im pretty sure most metalheads are like that.

Honestly, I'm the same way! I listen to mostly all sorts of metal genres, like from black sabbath to cannibal corpse and other death metal bands basically, but also like metalcore, nu metal, post hardcore, all sorts of punk genres, rock, reggae, a tiny bit of rap, reggae, electronic, and like everything really, but yeah, so there are definitely more like you for sure!

Ed, i agree with what you said about dont judge the sound from the region. But if im not mistaken Swedish Death Metal is a genre with special sound just like tecnical, brutal, etc. Entombed started it and a song that is very famous of the style is Left hand path. If you listen carefully you will hear that the way of playing the guitar is different.

And who do you think pays for the production of the cd's and merch? The band itself? Why do you think a lot of bands want to be signed by a label? Cause the label pays for the pressing of the cd's, promotion and ofther merchandise production. And you think this label does all this for free?

@crazyweirdomimicers Sorry man, that's out of my hands...all I do is design the shirts and put them in the shop. The website takes care of the printing, sending etc etc. But I am still searching around for other options, so whenever I found something good or better I will make everybody know..;-)

@bloodwrage It's ok if you think rap sucks. But there's has never been a book written about what's metal and what's not. When you're a metalhead and when you're not. I think that writing Trve is pretty sad and lame, and doesn't make you anymore metal or bad ass.
