I love this! I went to an English masterclass yesterday at Cambridge and the lecture hall was at least 90% white middle class (I'm British Asian). I felt so out of place and although I made a friend I was shaking in the lecture because I felt so fricking intimidated. It really puts me off applying but I think I will anyways to 'change the pattern.'

yesyesyes Ibz. The point about wealthy students coming from aboard not understanding or relating to the struggles of working class ethnic minorities. They shouldn't be allowed to voice their opinions on OUR struggles when they've lived a life of privilege and had their parents attending to their every whim and desire, being chauffeured around and being given private tutoring when we haven't been granted even a fraction of their privileges. They will NEVER know how it feels to be discriminated for not being as well spoken as they are not being able to afford their fancy suits but I'll always have far more respect for those from the ends.
