I used to live in Sherman Oaks and would go to UCLA in the evening for classes, loved it because it was like 20-30 minute drive max. Always going against traffic in the evening.

Cold calling does get better as the semester goes on and you’ll start to notice the type of follow up question every professor asks to help better prepare

I like that you and I have similar backgrounds & you are going through the steps that I’m trying to accomplish. so this is very motivating/exciting even if it is just a QA and not specific to what I wanna do per say, it’s still motivating.

Hey Lataysia! I’m having a hard time deciding between getting my MBA and Law school. I guess I’m not completely sure with what I want to do in my life. I know I want to pursue higher education. I’m currently 23 and wanted to be a lawyer when I was younger. Now, speaking to so many lawyers who are experiencing burn out in BigLaw( which was my goal) it’s deterring me. Did an MBA improve your quality of life? How old were you when you went? I was told you can’t go straight from undergrad( more work experience). Sorry for all the questions! You are the first law student who has had a taste of both!

I went straight after undergrad, technically at the same time. I had work experience from undergrad and a GPA that allowed me to get into my school’s program. I don’t know if I would say it helped. It really depends on what career you want the MBA for.

What parts of your law school application do you feel played the largest role in helping you get accepted? Are gpa and personal statement as important as LSAT scores?
