I moved into my Toyota Tacoma camper shell after graduating college. Was working so much that id never be home to enjoy the apt i was renting. Been at it for 3.5 yrs and have managed to save 140k. I work full time, hit gym at night, eat then find a spot to camp. It's turned my monotonous, stressful life into a daily adventure, all while putting me on a fast track for purchasing a home. It's honestly the best decision I've ever made. If your considering it, I say go for it! It's changed my life completely.

This is a thought i've had, not really to do with Q&A, but with you in mind..., one thing I would definately suggest, is insulate the van so as to reduce outside noise, especially the rain, also giving you a little more warmth on cooler Spring and Fall nights or when you're in the occasional cooler climate area, as well as keep the "house" a little cooler when in the southern States. That would automatically upgrade your living standard immediately. Whatever you do, I know it will be exactly right for you, because you listen to what the viewers have to say and adapt it to your own needs. Sorry, this was just a little some thing that I thought about after watchin one of your earlier videos. And now off topic, i'd like to mention how easy it is to listen to your narration on your very well edited and entertaining videos, you come across very real, and very natural on camera. Thanks for all so far, and good luck on your travels. Come and say Hi..., if you're ever in Switzerland. Steve.

Speaking of doing van life with a regular car or SUV: Definetly check out rooftop tents! The allow you to sleep on top of your car, they're much more affordable than a van and just generally a great place to start.

Heyyy, I asked the trail and plant questions! I’m the same way on trails! Def case by case, sometimes if I’m in the zone I forget to even look, but usually I’ll smile and nod or say hello! I’m starting SUV van life in my Crosstrek after i graduate in December and your channel has been therapy for me! Living vicariously through you until I’m on the road with my dog Wanda! (And probably a couple tolerant plants haha) Thanks for your videos!

Would you ever do a story time of your first roadtrip? The first time heading out, where you went, what you prepared for & what caught you by surprise, etc- I’m about to be a first time car camper/wwoofer/solo traveler and would LOVE to hear

Just stumbled across your channel via your Shorts and felt like I needed to say this - If you haven’t done so already, you should go traveling. Like, not around the US, but globally. India would be a good starting point. Cost wise, my partner and I traveled for 15 months for $10,000, which is a lot of money, but not an impossible amount. Short term travel obviously costs less, but doesn’t quite give you the feeling of freedoms that long term travel does. It’d change you by revealing yourself to yourself and if you haven’t done it already, I can tell that you’d be the type of person who’d love it. Anyway… keep creating, keep exploring, keep inspiring ✌🏻

If you ever travel the Olympic Coast, Wa., Kalaloch Lodge has nice log cabins for employees across Hwy 1, from the beach. There was a 14 ft elephant seal on the beach, lots of elk, and champion red cedar tree's nearby. I forget the parent company name, same one that runs concessions in Denali NP. Crescent Lake and Sol Duc also have lodges. There is 70 miles of beach hike just north, and hot springs. Enjoy yourself!

So the answer is you don't make a lot of money, things are tight, and you need to be very smart about your next location to sleep, refill water, shower, and ofc tying it in with being fiscal.

I got a patch at the first park I went to that wasn’t a well know place and that was on my own…and it was a sweet patch but it had nothing to do with anything at the park. But the park was better than anyone saw in the video because it got to wild. It was amazing and I felt like we all missed out. I’m getting that helmet cam first.

Aramark starts at $20/hr. in Denali National Park I think. Don't quote me but I know it's a lot better than minimum wage.

I always say “hi” hello” on trails and hope no one starts more conversation with me 😂 besides the occasional “how are you” and the “good” even if you aren’t good because no one REALLY wants to know how you are 😂😂

Diablo Lake isn't actually in the actual North Cascades National Park, it's actually in the Ross Lake National Recreational Area, which bisects he North & South Units of North Cascades National Park. The North & South Units of the North Cascades National Park, the Ross Lake National Recreational Area and the Lake Chelan National Recreational Area all comprise of the North Cascades National Park Complex.
