Your dad is awesome, your mom too! His message about his attitude towards the home renovation and how he realized he was bringing down your mom’s excitement and optimistic vibe and has tried to fix that was a powerful message that everyone should take note of. I bet your mom really appreciated him recognizing that and trying.

My biggest take aways --- he referred to his wife as a "Force" and that's all I had to hear to understand how his kids grew up so confident and successful, two parents with mutual respect. He's humble, wise, and generously gave credit to those around him. I just loved this interview!

Laura, your dad is naturally a public speaker, whether he admits it or not. So many times my eyes were filled with tears, seeing your relationship with your dad reveal itself. Love and respect is the key to any relationship and you two seem to epitomize it. He is a natural salesperson! I can see where you get your attitude and passion. Best Wishes for the holidays to your and your family extended. Living in Ontario Canada, I feel a connection to your area, as it has a historical connection. Your family is a inspiration to gardening. I look forward to another year of gardening with you.

I watch Sandy Brock. She raises sheep and her husband farms land near Ontario, Ca. I was there when I was 15, too. I went on a 2200 mile bicycle trip through Canada with a group called De cycles for Christ. I was a long way from home and all the Canadians we met made us feel at home along the way. I live in Texas. It was in the mid 70s when we did that land some of the kids, I kid you not, thought we still got around with horses and wagons. They thought we wouldn't know how to ride those fancy 10 speed bicycles that we all rode. Ha! Isn't that the funniest thing???🤣

I grew up in a home that wasn’t “Christ” centered, as did my children, and we all turned out pretty well. That being said, it is apparent that your parents lead by example and you grew up in a home filled with love. It was fun to see how much you look and act like your dad.

Mike and Susan is where Laura got her work ethic. Instead of allowing their future adults to laze around after school they taught them to work that family matters. They seem like a wonderful couple. I would like to see an interview with both Mike and Susan.

The list goes on…There are good and bad choices in life and clearly not all “choices” are acceptable and good. This reminded me so much of my own Dad. He was so much like your Dad in his manner and the love that just poured out. Your dad's knowledge and his time to explain what he wants to say is so thoughtful. It really shows how faith and close family support you had. This made me smile and tear up at times. I was 23 when my dad passed, he was only 53. I’d give anything to sit and chat with him. Only thing missing from this was a wedding photo of him and your mom when he was describing their courtship ❤

Laura, I lost my Dad a few years ago. Hearing you and your dad’s conversation really made me miss mine. I think my Dad would have liked your dad. One of my favorite things to do was to hear my dad’s thoughts on things. He had so much life experience, wisdom, knowledge, and frankness…. Just like your Dad. Be proud of your father. He's very well-spoken but is able to convey his thoughts in plain speak. He's direct which is always admirable to me. He is fully vested in the future and doesn't seem to shy away from challenges at all. What a great person you get to call Dad! Interesting conversation today.

Knowledge, wisdom, patience, belief, forward-thinking, passion, respect, and his love for his family all wrapped into one guy. What a wonderful interview. This rare glimpse into the relationship you have with your dad and the delightfully plain spoken man he is was well worth the wait. There was more than once it brought a tear to my eye and made me miss my own dad. This is the first time I have heard you speak of the beliefs that ground your family, even as we see it in everything you do. You are so right, be it church, synagogue or mosque, having that center is so important when raising children and building families.

Awww..... This was nice meeting your dad officially! (Well in KZfaq world 😂) I think I love him just as much as your mom.😊 They both seem to be very sweet people. My husband and I started our small business a year ago; and it's chugging along. Listening to your parents humble beginnings are really encouraging.❤❤❤

Wonderful interview with your Dad. You could see him relax and enjoy it as it went on. I love that when Benjamin came in you both gave him your full attention then went back to the interview. As a parent of adult children, that really spoke to me.

Oh I loved this video so much!! Never relieved how much you would be like your Dad as you’re so similar to your Mum. The way you both talk about plants😂😂 Such a sweet and kind man, the way he thinks about the little things for your Mum is lovely. Definitely another video with your Mum and Dad together. That would be a treat. 🥰
