The WHO-KNOWS-IT-COULD-LEAD-TO-IMPROPER-BEHAVIOUR attitude is a sign of an EMOTIONAL PROBLEM! That should NOT have anything to do with normal people! The individuals concerned need to be healed and corrected so that normal life can resume. Take a look at what the former Lubavitcher Rebbe did when he spoke face to face, very close to, a modestly dressed woman!

Isn't the answer to the question about shaking hands and the like with sexual arousal regarding homosexual men - similar to asking - which hand do you put the phylacteries, on - the left or the right - depending on if your left or right handed?

I see the connection - but I don't think one can conclude from that that a person must follow all the details of laws that were developed for a man women relationship, but a person could and should do all he can to follow God's ways. Channel manager

Without G-D, or the atheist view, a person could come to realize that he shouldn't steal or murder because of Hillel's dictum- that you should AVOID doing to others what you yourself DON'T WANT done to you!

I think in this case, not everyone follows that dictum - and it is belief in a God that created both you and I that necessitates the dictum. Channel Manager

@@divinewisdomliveabetterlif3511 You can INFER the existence of G-D from Hillel's dictum - but it's NOT a necessity. IOW, the adage addresses GOOD and COMMON - sense! :-)

In Torah 2 different answers can both be correct. If you don't say that then many rulings by Jewish courts around the world and by Poskim in there books that people followed would be wrong since other courts and poskim ruled differently. And when two rabbis argue on a law and people follow both rulings in different places - one would be wrong. Therefore both are correct, when they learned properly and didn't make a mistake. all th4e best Channel Manager
