Up in Thule Air Base, Pituffik, an Eskimo gentleman walked into the chow hall with his family one night for the midnight meal. One of the guys in our group said, "See that polar bear suit he's wearing? He didn't order that from the Sears catalog."

The workmanship and time that must go into making those clothes is staggering! I'd love to see them close up, to really appreciate them. Fabulous!

This is amazing!! I know that the skirts and dresses aspect of a lot of polar peoples across Siberia, Scandinavia and northern Canada, etc. are blurred to accommodate colder climates. Make-up, longer hair on females, etc.

Annoraq! This word, written a little bit different - Anorak - exists in german too for the same piece - now I know where the word comes from.
