Atwood .049

Great video! I have several engines that are running great at the moment. I need to get a couple of kits built so I can fly them, too.

You see these videos of r/c flyers with these 1/4 scale or bigger, turbojet powered, planes, and then you see this little 2-channel flyer with a simple 2-stroke glow engine, that probably cost a thousand times less. And you have to ask yourself, who's having the most fun?

私は10歳の時に父親からOS Pet 099 engineを買ってもらった。ラインコントロール飛行機に取り付けて飛行させようと試みたがまだ一人ではengineを扱えず、その後13歳になった時ENYA15 enjgine を買って夏休みに同級生とラインコントロール飛行機の飛行を楽しんだ。Cox Peewee 02 、049 は日本でも販売されていたけど、日本製のmodel engineが他に多くあったのでCoxを所有している人は少なかった。

What are you using to protect the camera from the exhaust fuel residue?

I had originally built a couple of small balsa boxes, with a flat piece of picture frame glass epoxied to the end but, when in the slipstream of the engine exhaust, these immediately got covered with castor. Now, I just try to position the camera outside of the "castor trail", though I DO have a small, open-ended box for video from the cockpit or fuselage. The camera is recessed into the box and aimed out at the wing or to the rear to avoid the the castor. The OS. .61 on my Sig Kadet Senior Sport is pretty good about sending most of the castor spray out along it's belly, so I'll often just jam the camera in it's cockpit with no covering, and wipe off any spray after each flight:

Are ye usin the 4X2 props on the 020s? they look like 6X3

Noisy, Greasy, rather expensive and short lived engines, with parts that USED to be available. We flew TD .051s RC
27,500 RPM! Tiny Combustion Engine. I tightened the Piston to the Rod ball & run a Cox Tee Dee .010.
