Dr. George MacDonald, and wife Joanne MacDonald have assembled a vast array of Northwest Coast visual resources over their careers. Since the establishment of the Bill Reid Centre in 2008, the MacDonalds have been generously transferring this research archive to Simon Fraser University.
This presentation on the Nuxalk village of Q'um'kuts is an exploration by Dr. MacDonald of this particular village file. The presentation is intended to be a point of departure to stimulate conversation, further community and academic analysis, and increase the level of access to the vast array of information collected by Europeans and Euro-Americans on Coastal First People during the 19th and 20th Centuries.
This presentation was recorded using Skype, and although we have made efforts to edit them for quality purposes, there may be small audio and visual irregularities.
