Usually QF 747 heads to JFK after arriving from SYD or BNE, QF A330's used to operate their A330's to AKL until Air New Zealand started operating service at LAX in 2011

They have twelve a380's in their fleet.....from "OQA" through to "OQL"

Nope.. Qantas operates their B747-400ER's for LAX-JFK. Very often, we get to see the "Boxing Kangaroo" livery.

American Airlines B777-300ER On the odd occasion an a380 does complete the leg......new yorkers have seen them there. This was either one of those occasions or a delayed flight because the normal scheduling has the Sydney and Melbourne bound a380's always leaving LAX late in the evening. Also, SYD/LAX/JFK isn't always a 747ER......most times its a RR powered 747 but that is slowly changing lately because of their gradual retirement.

Qantas flew their A380 to KJFK one time. I honestly can't remember anything about it, I think it was back in 2011.
