In this video, I am going to show you my recent fly experience on FIRST CLASS Sydney to Los Angeles , 14 hours non stop fly on a A380. So how are the foods and services? What’s like to sit in the first class cabin? How expensive is it to fly first class? And Why did this Qantas cabin crew tell me not to film? My journey starts from Sydney Australia, Qantas QF11 takes off at 10.30 in the morning. If you want to visit the Business and first class lounge, you better come to the airport 3 - 4 hours earlier, so that you can enjoy some time at the business and first class lounge.
The Qantas lounge is very big and bright, facing east, so you get this beautiful morning sunshine.
Coffee and breakfast are very nice, and the staff are friendly.
The boarding gate is number 8 not far from the lounge, unfortunately in the waiting area, there is no separation between the first class, business class, and the economy class, so it looks a bit messy. But First class passengers do get priority boarding, which makes you feel a little bit better.
The first class amenity kit is good, it has a pair of slippers, a set of beautiful pajamas, and some lotions.
Once it’s air bourn, now it’s time to think about what you are going to do and how to spend the next 14 hours in this sky home 38000 feet above the ground.
Then it’s champagne, champagne, and more champagne. Welcome to the Qantas first class.
There is a foot rest which designed to be a spare seat for your travelling partner so that you can dine together if you want to.
This flight provides lunch, dinner and the next day’s breakfast. The Neil Perry designed signature menu is impressive. And I love the caviar and smoked samon appetizer.
While I was enjoying all things of qantas first class has on offer, suddenly a Qantas cabin crew came up to me and told me that I can not film due to other people and cabin crew’s privacy, I was dumbfounded, as I asked other cabin crews and they didn’t have any problem with this at all.
First class lunch was amazing, I ordered lamb cutlets as my main. Special mentioned the cabin crew Jule’s personalized service is second to none. Very impressive.
The 3 course meal is beautifully design, from the presentation to mouth watering taste. Well done qantas.
The return tickets for the first class from Sydney to Los Angeles normally cost $25,000 Australian dollars, I certainly did not pay that much for my ticket. Rather I used my frequent flyer points to obtain an upgrade.
One of the fly highlights came when the cabin crew Meghan helped set up the bed, the chair is now a complete flat bed.
Qantas is one of my favorite airlines. It’s our Australia national brand, and it represents the spirit of Australia. I do feel like home when I am on board.
You don’t have to try everything in life, but flying first class, you have to.

Question:
Why are we so intrigued by flying? - Because we don’t belong there at 38,000 feet high.
