Күн бұрынHere's a recording of the takeoff from Sydney Airport (YSSY) on a QantasLink flight from Sydney to Armidale (QF2020) on 30 April 2024.
From 1:10 onwards for around 10 seconds, you will see some propeller vortices visible under the landing gear door below the Qantas kangaroo logo.

Breaking through the clouds to blue skies on a cloudy day is one of the most beautiful things ever. I feel bad for the generations before us that never had that chance to know such freedom.

I am surprised how relatively quiet it is. Turboprops can be incredibly noisy. Not this one, it seems. ☮

The Dash 8 Q series aircraft have an advanced Noise Vibration Suppression (NVS) system to reduce cabin noise and vibration. Sometimes this system has problems and if it is not working properly it will become very noisy.
