any hotels before oman border or immediately after crossing after border, because travelling with family to Muscat will be hectic and it is around 1200 KM, so better choice is to stay one night at any hotel

There is small city Ebri , 150 km after the Oman border. You will find small hotels in Ebri. You can stay there. But from Ebri to Muscat its 4 hours drive. So it's better to reach Muscat where you will find good hotels.

Absolutely avoid taking this road unless it's absolutely unavoidable. If you must take it, be prepared for the following: - The road is excessively long and imposes a speed limit of 100km/h. - Service stops along this route are virtually non-existent. - Expect very high temperatures between May and September. - There are no streetlights on the road. - It's a two-way traffic road. - There are no emergency stations available. - The road is frequently covered in sand. - Prepare for a lack of traffic and highway signage. - Expect the journey to the Omani side to take up to 8 hours. - No GPS unless you have loaded the maps in advance or got a signal! الطريق في قمة الخطورة ولا انصح باخذه على الاطلاق ٫ ارجو الحذر وعدم المجازفة ٫ حفظكم الله

In which days you traveled to Oman by road? and What's the recommended season or time to travel to Oman (specifically Salalah) by road ?

I travelled in August 2023. The recommended season is the Hareef season ( August to October) rainy season . Avoid travelling in bad weather season like now a days.

Saudi border pe apko one week ki insurance almost 14 Omani riyals ki milygi. Petrol apki ghari k engine pe depend krta ha. V8 ghari ka almost 100 omani riyals k qareeb lga tha petrol mera ik side ka wo b Qatar se Slalah tak ka. MG ka almost 70 OMR tk lg jayga ya is se b kch kam.

Bhai agr ap Oman se Qatar ana chahty hn tu do ways hain. Ik tu ap through Saudi ahh skty hn. Ya phr UAE k through. Agr saudi se ana ha tu saudi ka visa lena paryga. Agr UAE k through jana ha tu UAE ka visa lena hoga.

for fuel can you pay by card in Saudi or we should carry cash? if, then which currency ??

Mostly card facilities are available, but some fuel stations only accept cash. My advice is to keep cash in Saudi riyals with you. That's the best option.
