INTRODUCTION
High blood pressure can affect up to 30% of adults and is a significant medical issue that can lead to heart disease and stroke. Low blood pressure is also an issue for many people so the tips in this video will help to stabilise your blood pressure, whether it is too high or too low.
Although there is no substitute for the correct medical advice, there are also many things you can do to help yourself and manage this condition, based on diet and lifestyle. You can:
1. Eat a healthy diet;
2. If you are overweight then lose some excess weight;
3. Take the appropriate exercise to increase your circulation.
4. Supplement with essential fatty acids, garlic capsules, Coenzyme Q10 and potassium (check with your doctor before doing this, especially if you are taking blood pressure medication).
5. Attend a TCM/Acupuncture practitioner.
6. Lower your stress levels by relaxing more and rushing less. Practice meditation, listen to relaxing music and perform Qigong daily.
7. Massage some acupressure points.
This video focuses on three areas:
1. CIRCULATION - Qigong exercises to create conditions to improve the circulation of Qi and blood.
2. RELAXATION - to lower stress levels and promote the free flow of Qi and blood.
3. ACUPRESSURE - three useful acupressure points which you can massage in order to help stabilise blood pressure (high or low).
METHOD
1. Begin by sitting or standing and practising a few abdominal breaths.
2. Open and close the fists, extending the fingers.
3. Wrist circles.
4. Shoulder shrugs.
5. Arm circles.
6. Lift legs up and down, alternating.
7. Circle hips out and in by lifting legs.
8. Exhale through the soles of your feet, using your mind.
9. Relax, Expand and Nourish the Heart exercise (full audio of this is available to download here: spacetorelax.c....
10. Locate and massage acupressure points Neiguan (Pericardium 6), Zusanli (Stomach 36) and Taichong (Liver 3).

I was shocked to learn I had high blood pressure, how chronic it is we don't yet know. Readings of 160/91 at the highest. I started to monitor it at home morning and evening, averaging in the high120s/high 80s. I started doing this practice with you and after ONE session brought it down to 113/86. Mind blown. Today, after a week of morning practice, my blood pressure was 105/73! Wow. I started doing QiGong for immunity during the pandemic and never quite knew if it really worked. Now I'm convinced. Thank you for sharing these free sessions. It's a healing gift and I'm so grateful.

Good morning. This is the first Qigong I have applied since I was at the emergency room all night Thursday night into Friday morning. I thought I was having a heart attack, or a stroke (I was not!). When I got there my blood pressure was 177 over 103. I have never had high blush blood pressure in my entire life and it was such a shock. I can't take medication so I found your wonderful guided class on lowering blood pressure and am so grateful. I have to approach this organically due to some challenges I have. Thank you for this. I'm worried about worrying, which is my tendency. While going through your whole class, I was only focused on the class and grateful to draw my energy into myself and your guidance. I will be revisiting this quite often. Thank you for this gift. I am waiting for my new blood pressure cuff to arrive and I will have more information as I do your class or parts of it and then take my blood pressure after. this getting old business is getting old. (65) 🧡💙😏Of course you're qigong guidance will keep me young and balanced. 💖💖

Thank you, Janice. I really appreciate this and all your other videos that I have watched so far. This morning my BP was 188/101; after doing this the reading was 160/93. I am not well at present, and these high readings are not usual for me. Added to that, I had a COVID test this morning. I expect the result to be negative but am just being careful because I visit a nursing home. Anyhow, have quite a bit of stress at present and this video of yours is like a lifeline to me. Also, I just feel so great after doing it. And, BTW, I really appreciate your detailed instructions and relaxed pace. 🙏💞

Wow Sherida, thank you for sharing this information about your BP. It's so good to hear of such positive observations as a result of some simple Qigong! I hope your Covid test is negative. I hope yr still reading my pressure is caused by evil spirit I can't and don't eat salt I believe in natural healing I've been doing qigong from when covid started nobody told me about it just came to me and poped up on my phone I thank God the day I discovered it I lost weight and kept,it off until January of this year but trying to lose it back my knees started to hurt so I kinda held off but doing it again

Thank you, Janice. Is it okay to skip the acupuncture of the feet. I can't get down there very easily but I found the whole session very relaxing and hope it lowers my blood pressure as I am afraid to take prescribed medicine for it. I am elderly at age 83 but feeling well.
