The original of this song was one of the songs used for the joint funeral of my nana and grandad who died within a few weeks of each other in 2017 and haven't been able to listen to it since without breaking down but voiceplay and John have done an absolutely brilliant cover of this beautiful song and it well worth the tears to hear their amazing voices ❤♥ xx

You hit the nail on the head, as usual. These a capella groups have so much going on at any given time that you can literally be finding new content within the song even after listening to it a dozen times. Geoff just amazes me when he's able to keep such a gentle tone to such deep low notes and yet still have the words be understood. Some basses might hit those notes, but they'll have a forced or harsh sound. And a lot of times that's all it is, sound, no words. Thanks for another beautiful reaction! ❤

The thing with Geoff is a trick to get you to listen an extra 150 times. 50 to hear what Geoff is doing, 50 to hear what Layne is doing, and 50 to hear JNone and Eli.

Oh thank you so much for doing this reaction today. I'm having surgery tomorrow & I really needed your very special way of reacting to VoicePlay to make me smile. You are so great at pointing things out and you're so right - with 5 guys all doing amazing things at the same time it really is hard to notice them all. That's why each time I listen I focus on a different person. I have loved John Pinto, Jr. since I first heard him with VP in "It Ain't Me" (one of my favorite VP songs) and there are probably only 2 or 3 high range singers that I even like, never mind love. This song was a fantastic version of this classic. Geoff's arrangement was wonderful and all the VP group & John were so fantastic.

I'm a huge Home Fry; however, this treatment, harmonies and John's voice just take it for me. I always love watching the pure delight on your face during reactions. Not enough reactions to this!! So thank you for doing it twice.

When Layne comes in with the beats and does the syncopation plus the crescendo of the voices. Whewww, that got me good the first listen. Plus I’m fairly sure that all of Geoff’s low notes were chest voice in this. 😌 I also would like to formally request that you react to The Greatest Showman Medley by Anthem Lights. We desperately need more reactors listening to them. 🙏🏻

Thank you for this reaction man. Voiceplay released this song the day before my grandfather passed and this was his favorite song, so he got to listen before he passed. I always love your reactions because they help me feel happier and better seeing your mind be blown by either Laynes beatboxing, J’s and Eli’s riffs and runs, Geoff’s mind blowing bass, or in this case John’s crazy high notes. Thanks for being my favorite KZfaqr and reactor ever. I love watching you and I hope you never stop with this, and I can’t wait until you get 1000000 subs. #QoFyGang

And when Geoff have some chills? 😃 That amazing contrast between Geoff and John is making it amazing. I am not too much into slow romantic songs but this got me. When Geoff started his part I regulary melted and keep on melting till the end. It's so so beautiful!! And heck yeah, I kept thinking about Mitch when John hit that high notes, too! And their harmonies, man, there's never enough of appreciation for their harmonies... My dark heart felt something during this song. As much as Austin made so awesome version, having those rich voices and harmonies in it makes this one for me simply better. Shout out for the shop, Issue Tissue got me laughing 😂 now I need to wait to get some money, the shipping gonna be huge 😅

Hi QoFy Gang👋. John was haunting and fantastic on this one, and I support a collaboration with Mitch 100%. Voiceplay supporting harmonies and bell tones were fire 🔥. But I think Geoff never has any chill, lol. Just various levels of intensity. I want to suggest J None's channel, but I've only discovered it recently. Need to do research to get you a specific song recommendation.

Late to the party coz I like the Righteous Brothers version so much I hesitated. Don't know why I did, Voiceplay haven't disappointed me yet. I don't make that mistake with Pentatonix because I've been listening to them for long enough to be able to relax with the song choice and have confidence they'll kill it. I'm getting there with Voiceplay. Now - the duet. I'm so up for it. Now give me the song. Didn't you hear me? I said NOW - twice. (I don't have have emojis on my PC keyboard and I refuse to LOL so you can have a *:-{>* instead. That's my own emoticon for a man with moustache and beard - i.e. me, the smiley version).

I always enjoy your reactions, and you catch so many little things that are going on, which is nice to see. John does a FANTASTIC job here, but the song wouldn't be nearly as powerful, I don't think, without all the amazing harmonies and beats growing and moving around him. It has so much "ebb and flow" (which I think is what you were meaning by the harmonica reference) through the whole song. I love this version, and all of them do a fantastic job, without any of them it wouldn't be nearly as beautiful and special.

Gotta be honest. I didn't love this the first time. I'm attached to the original. But the more I hear it the more I love it. The harmonies. The bell tones. The play between Geoff and John is just spectacular and I don't like high tenor voices. Just superb. You always see so much detail. Great reaction as always

@QofyReacts man I see whats new, the lighting now is much optimized and also clearer video. Awesome! also John Pinto is a counter tenor because he sounds more of a woman voice but in tenor range. The intensity or something you say is swells or like the back and forth of the sounds I think.

3:13 I do NOT understand how such a perfect moment of the song could get screwed up so badly! Dont get me wrong, John is amazing. But that note is NOT correct. I do love the bass drops Geoff throws on us and the Layne snare solo is so good! (also, that scit and scat fill is so smooth 7:24) I do wish for some more Eli though, as J got a solo part, so should he! It would have been perfect for this song.

Looks like you moved your room around. Lighting is brighter. They're good but nothing beats the Righteous Brothers. All others are good in their own way.
