Tired Of Avocados Going Bad Too Quickly? Use this trick to store avocados for up to 2 weeks before they go bad!
Hi Everyone!
It took me a while to figure out how to store my avocados to last more than a few days and I wanted to share this little hack with you in case you were having the same problem!
In this video I talk about what I do with my avocados after I buy them from the store so that they can last 1-2 weeks without going bad! In addition, I wanted to put this trick to the test so I did a mini experiment to demonstrate how this method works to slow down the aging and ripening process of an avocado so that they can be enjoyed for much longer!

Another thing you need to look out for is that the little stem is still on there. Otherwise the avocados don’t ripen evenly. My friend has an avocado farm!

Thank you so much for going above and beyond by doing an actual experiment! I'm an avocado newbie. I've always loved it when it shows up in my food from certain restaurants, but never bought them for myself. I mistakenly thought avocados should just sit in a bowl on the counter since they weren't in the refrigerator section of the store when I bought 6 or 7 of them. I was going to eat one a day. The first two were great, but then I got to a big soft 3rd one and it turned my stomach. It looked bad and did not taste good. I didn't know these were like bananas in how fast they ripen and exit a perfect time to eat zone. Actually, they might do it a little faster than bananas. Anyway, thanks for saving me some $$$ trying to figure this out on my own. I also like your idea of writing on the skin of the avocados... I can write the purchase date on them if that is something that will help me out later. Hopefully a nice perfectly ripe avocado will overcome the temporary stomach turning experience I had.

Wow really? I had no idea! That will be big help. I buy the big bags at Costco and we are eating avocados for days. 😆 Sometimes we don’t make it and 1 or 2 goes bad 😢 Thanks for the tip.

I half them and peel the skin than freeze for 2 hrs than vacuum sealed than back in the freezer they will last a good year! Do this with ripened avocados

I cut open 4 avocados that were so bad that only a 1/4 of them were edible. Last night I went to Sam's club and noticed that the price for 5 if their Fresh avocados was $3.53, but then I saw Frozen avocados. 2 pounds was almost $7 and I thought that that was way too expensive...until this morning when I was cutting up my avocado I realized how big that pit is! So I bet the price for frozen is actually very fair and plus it's no hassle and perfectly green every time!

Thank you so much for your video. Let me share a tip with you after your avocado ripens. Put them in water and then put them in the fridge. They will stay longer and stay fresh longer. Also after you slice the avocado put it in the water. No air no brown

Regardless if leave my avocados out or in the fridge it always turns brown. Then i be pissed cuz i end up throwing the whole thing out

pinkypromise111 the chair is actually brown but it looks darker on this video. I think we bought it from Office Depot. We’ve had it for at least 5 years so I don’t quite remember. 😊
