My friends at QS Tuning have bought a new shop car, a 500bhp M2 Competition! Alex takes me out for a spin in the car, which is currently running a RaceChip tuning box and an Akrapovic exhaust (among other things)...it's an absolute riot!!

I'm amazed somebody buys a 60 grand + car, and sticks a shitty tuning box on it at all. Just need to wait until somebody cracks the ecu, and they will, eventually.

@@DjNikGnashers it’s because the new ECU hasn’t been hacked yet so they can’t tune it. Guess it’s just a stop gap but I’d just wait for the ecu to be cracked

@@freddiejones4598 Me too matey, seen a lot of issues with tuning boxes, and long term expensive engine damage. I didn't shove a tuning box on my M140i, just waited until the ecu was cracked, and then had a nice map, it's so smooth, and everything monitored to make sure it's safe. Edit to add, I bloody love those wheels !!!

Your very welcome to review my Stage2 M2 competition pal, 552bhp, 740NM with AA single mid pipe, decats etc etc 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 running XHP DCT software. Love all the comments about “yes you can flash these cars blah blah” 🤣, gents do some research as of June 2020 onwards you cannot flash or bench unlock these new Bosch DME fact. Unfortunately tuning boxes are the only option to date. This applies to other marques also not just BMW.

AND IM TELLING You as an owner of a Tuned M2 Comp you can bench tune and flash these Post June 2020 cars if you know what you are doing. I AM PROOF. my car makes 373kw on a HUB dyno proven, with 800NM toruqe .. at the hubs. That equates to about 550hp and 800Nm.

@@robbyjai When exactly (month/year) your car was built ? Mine was built october 2020 and it is not tunable, definetly not, even not by BMW specialists like Lightweight !

Lovely car Luke,somehow I feel your 140i won't be around for long after seeing your reactions,as for the tuning box,dusty bin for that one mate,there are a few who can take care of that, the suspension has got me going,its a beautiful set up,keep going Luke your content keeps this old boy very keen mate....

I’ve owned a manual silver grey e46 m3 for many years with csl wheels and parts to improve it, these m2’s always remind me of a new age version of it, but dare I say not as nice on the eye 🥰😋 Only kidding absolutely beautiful car this one, would love one in the burnt orange colour, but would have to have it as well as the e46.

Pretty sure you can still get the later DME bench unlocked so they can be mapped properly.

I have a question, I have seen an m2 competition start up with a more aggressive sound and it's louder than this m2. Is it because maybe its decat or a tune?

Stock M2C on start up have more exhaust noise due the engine running more due to emissions laws most modded M2C have this coded out through software it's called "cold start delete" so it less noisy on start up...

Yes you can tune it, you have to pull the ecu out and bench unlock it. You need to learn to do your research lol

No you can’t bench flash the very latest June 2020 onwards cars, the new Bosch DME doesn’t allow this. Tuning boxes are the only way to achieve gains on these cars and others currently because of this.

9:36 is the reason you are definitely better off getting an OG, that's not a good sound on the inside, sounds alright outside tho

That's not enough reason to choose an OG M2. All you need is an equal length mid pipe and sounds better than the original M2 with a better engine and more power.

Not my cup of tea this should be four wheel driver then it would be a proper car can’t see the point having this much power in rear wheel driver car I should left it at stock power but normally not a bmw fan I think they over rated but this one dose look nice with the black alloys and carbon tips on the exhaust great video yet again u need to get the new Ferrari 1000hp on your channel if u can that dose looks like a monster on the road well done 👍

🤦‍♂️ Jesus - yer tbf all race cars (most of which are RWD - because it’s the best way to set up a car) have too much power don’t they - Lewis Hamilton has been complaining about that for years. Stick with Audi mate, those point and shoot cars were made for people like you

Because it fun! I have way more fun on a damp winter road in my m2 than I do in the dry. It’s not all about going fast, managing the throttle and having it fight you is enjoyable and gives the car a angry character.
