I’ve been all over Canada and Quebec City is hands down the most beautiful city in Canada ⚜️💙🤍

I'm 42 years old, live in Switzerland and last week was the first time i ever saw a picture of Quebec. Fell in love with it instantly. Now that i know that that impressive building is a hotel, i have to visit that city at one point in my life. Preferably in the winter.

We spent 5 nights in Quebec City at Christmas 2023. Stayed at Chateau Frontenac. It was a very festive atmosphere inside the hotel and in surrounding neighborhoods. Christmas Markets were scattered around the city center. Ice skated outdoors on The Plains of Abraham. Such an easy city to walk around. One day we had a four hour walk. High end clothing stores to art galleries to Simons Department store to unlimited restaurants to souvenir shops to antique shops dot the city. One can take a walking city tour or a tour of Chateau Frontenac itself. Chateau Frontenac was an excellent stay for us. Service from valet, concierge, wait staff. bell hop, to house keeping was a 12 out of ten. People from all over the world come to Quebec City. A very clean and friendly city.

Another nice addition to your ongoing Canadian city collection. It is super cool to know we have a major city in North America that looks and feels like a European city with French and English spoken on the streets. My big surprise in this video was learning that the landmark building in the city center was a hotel rather than a major government building! The Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac is simply one of the best pieces of architecture on the continent. You’re running out of major cities in Canada, so my guess is that Winnipeg, Regina, and possibly Hamilton will be next on your Canadian radar. Best Wishes from David P. In Houston. Born and raised here! Pronunciation is above average for an anglophone in my experience, no worries there. You covered most of the basics in good fashion. However, this video could be expanded to at least 30-45 minutes (IMHO, lol). Québec is actually 4 different cities: one for each season! My favorite, as a resident, is autumn. The colours are just too enchanting. A great time for hiking in the woods, and walking in the old city. Also, football! Winter is of course THE most representative season, with the snow-covered landscape, the holiday lights, the Carnaval, skiing, skating... And summer? the FEQ, the terrasses, the Plains of Abraham... However, one point you didn't mention in the video, about the skyline, is that the best viewing point is actually from Lévis on the south shore! Just a ferry ride away. History, architecture, nature, sports, art, restaurants... what's not to like about my city??

I noticed you did Minneapolis for the very first video. Would there be any chance you covering the neighboring city of St. Paul, MN? Love to see your takes on this one.

During World War II, the Château Frontenac was the site of two important conferences on military strategy. The first Quebec Conference, in August 1943, was attended by the leaders of the Allied powers, U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt and U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and hosted by Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King. they just invaded and drove out the native tribes. So someone was there first living life, then people with a bigger army invaded and drove them out. We skip over that fact so quickly to look at the architecture of a city that doesn't belong to them

So I don't understand one thing about quebec peope who are fully french and know only french. They expect the rest of the provinces to know french language. OK I can learn french, but they don't even have bilingual signs and policies only french around the coast of the province. So, shouldn" t they learn English aswell and stop feeling apart from the the rest of the Canadian land?????? Debatable

Bad attitudes and awful food and service. No thanks. Ottawa's pretty much the same. Going to stick with western provinces and the US. At least they understand the value of tourism.
