Those EF86 are from Cifté ...............Good tubes ..................also EF86 Telefunken and the Z729 GEC......... Philips group and Brimar..............

Hi, do you need to convert the voltage using the transformer since quad ii is from uk

The Quad !II has adjustable mains input to cater for this.

Speakers are Altec Valencias 846 cabinets with 418-8Z LF and altec 288-8G drivers with 1005B horns

Crappy Russian copies GEC KT 66S will make the amp sound right.... And they last forever... Those Russian things r v unreliable as well as sounding like transistors... But what does it matter playing anti Establishment Taylor Swift or Die Straits
