Thanks Cobrak! It was the first time I qualified for the Advanced North American tournament. Going into this game, I was a 1549 while Fizeal was 2162. When I saw that I beat someone more than 600MMR stronger than me in semi-memey fashion, it felt absolutely incredible and it pushed me into the top 75 in NA, and just a hair outside top 200 in the world after gaining a big chunk of MMR from the upset. However, the next match was against Steelsane who quickly reminded me how tough this game is at the top level of play. Thank you for casting and your earlier videos helped me get the basics down when I was stuck in 600-800MMR hell. Once this game "clicks", it feels so satisfying when you win, and knowing you can learn something for when you lose. I do agree about early spam being risky. But underdogs need to roll the dice to go for a win.

@@MrVentches I just passed 300 hours. I found out about it when it first hit early access when they had a bunch of streamers do some sponsored streams to get some awareness. I saw Northernlion play it and thought it'd be worth a shot. I loved RTS and the rock/paper/scissors style countering system, but hated the lightning fast micro needed to be even decent at it, so this game scratched my itch. I just started streaming on twitch yesterday and will do Mondays and Wednesdays at 9pm central USA time. Ladder game mondays and mini tournament wednesdays. Also would like to do user replay reviews live too.

@@PhoenixFlight94 As a low rank meme player I run the artillary version of them with the 150% attack tech instead of armor. Feels so good when someone goes giants and you just click one button and they get absolutely destroyed. Grats on the win! It was an great match :D

I think the electromag sledgies managed to onetap the shielded fangs, i guess the electromagnetic procc hits before the damage?

They don't, but their shots do have a splash range so that helps with their clear rate

I'm new to the game, so I'm learning. Sledgehammers are ground only, right? Why not go air?

Correct, sledgies are ground-only. Fangs and Marksmen were on the board defending against air threats. MM outrange Phoenixes, boats, and wraiths, especially with the AA tech if I needed it. Meanwhile, wasps got stuck on armored tanks letting the late arriving fangs wipe them out. Not impossible to go air, but it would need brilliant placements/timing to get it to work properly

@@PhoenixFlight94 So air would get stuck on tanks, the "chaff" would remove the air, and due to two unit buying limit you can't counter chaff and buy air?

Wasps in the back but were countered by late arriving fangs. Overlord got some work done from the air. It did plenty of damage so that's why I didn't sell it. Phoenixes and wraiths would have been killed quickly by both sides' marksmen.

I really don’t think melters should have emp rockets they are to much of a multi tool tanky anti giant anti air with multi beam they can even do good against heavy chaff like balls

Imo fort with barrier spam would be OP without that tech. Get some antimissile stangs or turrets and the barriers will stay up for a long while.
