I use stem mounts on my Ebikes. I prefer my phone mount to be centered on my bikes. It's more aesthetically pleasing to have the symmetry of the phone below my Bike display.

Would the fork stem work on a Honda Rebel 500 ABS 2023? And would you recommend a fork stem mount over a handlebar mount location and vibration wise?

All the Honda 500 bikes share many parts but I don't have a way to confirm if the fork stem is the same. If yours looks the same as mine in the video, it's a safe bet they are the same size. Yes, I definitely recommend this location for mounting. I've had bar mounts before and this one vibrates much less.

The two problems I have with the quad lock are, number one it’s expense, it’s very expensive for what you’re actually getting. Number two the phone case is not waterproof , unlike my Lifeproof phone case, therefore the quad lock is a no go for me, not to mention there’s that big bump on the back of the case that makes it harder to put into your pocket and retrieve from your pocket

Yes, the case does need improvement. I wouldn't say it's difficult to get in and out of my pocket though. It's actually quite a lot easier than it was with the OtterBox case I had before because the rubber was much grippier and clung to my pocket. Also, the "bump" on the back of the Quad Lock case does not stick out far. It looks to be about 2 mm and the case is very thin and smooth. Also doesn't need to be waterproof because it sits in the dry spot being the windscreen.

They do offer a sticker type mount with 3M adhesive. I got one to mount my GoPro on this and it's very strong.

Problem Number 2, just get a Peal and Stick Adapter and attach it to a Aftermarket Waterproof Case. Problem solved. You don't have to use QuadLock cases to use the system. They make Peal and Stick Adapter Plates

When you blow the dirt off in the beginning, is that part removable? I think I’m missing that part on my bike and I cannot figure out what it’s called to buy one! Even if you could show me what it looks like. Thank you!!

Are you talking about the silver cap I pulled off? It's called a Steering Nut Cap, part number 53232-MJW-J00.

Would this work for a yamaha YZF-R125 2019?

Yes, it looks like the r125 would fit this type of mount. As long as you can pop off that cap in the middle and there's a place for the mount to slide in, it will work.

Is there a mount i can use for my scooter? I finally took off the solid top just to find no hole. Its like a VERY tiny spot for a screw im pissed asf.

Check the quad lock website. They have a lot of options for all sorts of vehicles. I'm pretty sure they have a handlebar mount.

Ok so I did not have a cap i had to unscrew the fork stem bolt to install the mount and im not sure if that's safe?

No, that doesn't sound safe. This mount is not made for all motorcycles, just ones with a hollow fork stem. What was the bolt securing?

@Endless Money Pits the fork stem is hollow but instead of a cap I had to remove the fork stem bolt itself but I cant find anything saying I shouldn't do this as it's not holding anything down.

If you're sure it's not holding anything down then I guess it's just a design I'm not familiar with. A bolt instead of a cap, probably just to keep dirt and water out of the stem. In that case it should be fine to use the mount there.

This mount probably won't work with your bike.

Looks to me like it takes two hands to dismount your phone one to hold the phone and one to push the quad lock to dismount it.

I didn't film doing it one handed, but it can easily be done by using your thumb to press the clip as you grab the phone.

If that bike has a hole in the fork stem then it should work. Check with QuadLock directly to be certain.

I’ve ordered one exactly like that with no vibration absorber , i have a sport bike so i’m not really driving on unpaved roads I don’t think there will be many vibrations, but i was told that for my bike it won’t work since the inside of thread on my bike isn’t circular..i haven’t received it yet but i feel like expanding it should have grip anyway ?! Also did you notice your screws coming undone ? I was also told that someone had to stop and re tithening all of them !? I’m planning to put some small lock tite on them

I've heard the vibration damper is more important for iPhones because they have really sensitive cameras. I didn't get the vibration damper and haven't had any problems with my Samsung Galaxy nor have I seen any of the screws come loose since I installed it. I don't remember if they had thread locker from the factory but you could add some if you're worried about them coming loose.

Probably a good idea to get the damper in that case unless the new iPhones dont have that problem. I'm not really on top of that stuff.

Bro, I just got the quad mouny. I have a 2023 zx6r. Shit does not tighten at all in the fork tree. Its so loose!! I keep tightning it trying to get it reasonably tight and it just ended up still pinning in circles. So, I keep tightening it to the point that the metal fasteners that expand end up falling into the bottom of the triple tree everytime ad then the stem mount just slides out the top. Wtf kind of garbage is this? Yes, I am using the appropriate metal fasteners. One set is too small and the other is too big. Wasted over $120 on this shit. - going to JB weild the stem to the triple tree now. Fk it!!!

Hard to say what the problem is without seeing it. The smaller adapter should easily expand to the size of the larger adapter that you say is too big. Make sure to expand it as much as possible before installing so it doesn't spin freely inside the bike.

@@jonathanbulkheed338why it is not tight is because the fork stem has a lip at the top. Shine a flashlight in there and you will see that there is that lip at the top that I am talking about. In the instruction manual it says not to install with this lip because of that issue. (I did it anyways lol)
