Mam, if I select a quadratic equation like x^2 -32x +252 then it becomes very difficult. Is there any alternate approach to questions where the value of the constant is too large and the x coefficient is 1. REALLY NEED YOUR HELP !

Mam in the 1st equation(3x2 + 4x - 15) is come like this means what I want to do... There is no number there is x2 at at the first..... (x2 + 7x +12)

@@veenitagupta577 it depends whether the middle term is +ve or-ve , you assign the symbols to the bigger and smaller factor accordingly. If middle term is -ve , then bigger factor will be -ve and smaller factor will be +ve , or if they both add up to the middle term , both will be -ve

...nice method! I am not used to hearing 2 into 6 as factors of 12. Here. In Canada "into" implies divide, so 2 into 6 would be 3. Meanwhile thanks, and I am a math teacher and let me add that I have taught this technique for years. Cheers

mam..the factors of 12 is 2 and 6 also with that factors we are not getting the correct roots with 3 and 4 only getting the answer so that is also tricky to select whether we have to take 2*3 or3*4.
