I believe on the original test server it had about half the fire rate but testers complained that the bolt/slide would obscure too much of the sight for too long. Also someone dug up the actual Japanese military records when they tested the Auto-Hei and it had a stated fire rate of 720 so they increased the fire rate, which makes it easier to see when aiming down the sights. This makes this gun rather OP as the damage it deals per bullet is also much higher then the M2 Carbine which is the closest thing the Americans have.

Im hoping that the T20 early is a tech tree release. Controversial statement im just not a fan of the M2 carbine. Ive been using the Johnson and Garand because the time to kill is much faster. If we get the T20 early as a tech tree unlock i think the US will have a very balanced (comparitive to AVT, FG, and THA) select fire rifle. I will say i wish the selected fire rate was adjusted. Either they all start in semi, start in auto, or have the option to lock the starting position.

after i watched the video i started up the game and looked at its stats. And its stat wise better then the federov in almost every aspect, it has better damage, recoil, rpm and a bigger mag size, the only thing that is worse is the reload and its worse by 0.1 second. so yeah its the best gun in the game (not counting gold order weapons).

Im pretty sure this gun was added to please the Japan mains that need to have their safety helmet on all the time because they couldn't fight against M2 carabines pre-merge. And would you look at that, reasonable amount of the US high BR players were leaveing BR5 pacific at the start of the game... I wonder why

Japan is op as hell in higher tier. Sometimes play as an american i fear them most than germans.

The worst thing about the type hei auto is grinding the radio 2 squad upgrade it. Also all of my engineers have a large backpack with 3 med kits and a tool box. I rarely have the chance to get the spanner’s out though as tanks either drive off or get destroyed before I can help them.

Best gun in game easily. The good part is that maybe in the future italians might have the Cei Rigotti or other full auto prototype despite not being widely used irl

Hey, Quadro, you should do a video analyzing the best killer AI in the game based on wich weapon you equip them with. I've found that MG 34 equiped AI is sooo deadly. Great video btw

Loved your take on this issue! Yeah. For me it is. A STG-44 which is basically available for everyone. 9-man rifleman squads are truly the new meta for Japan. I don't know what else they can add to the Japanese tech tree which will give this weapon a competition. Perhaps they can introduce the experimental Type 2 SMG with the 6.5 mm Arisaka cartridge as an AR for Japan. Let's see.

"It's like I'm running around with a Fedorov" Well, Fedorov and Type Hei both fire the 6.5mm Japanese Arisaka round, so they would feel pretty comparable to shoot. The 6.5 Arisaka was chosen for the Fedorov because it was the softest shooting cartridge available in any numbers to the Russians during WW1 and it was essential in making the Fedorov even remotely controllable in full auto fire. And on the topic of the Type Hei Automatic itself, it's a great gun and it was really needed in order to give the Japanese any fighting chance at Max tier! Some complain that it's OP, but honestly all of the fully automatic rank 5 rifles are quite OP. Being able to make every rifleman, engineer, AT soldier and radio operator into a combined assaulter and machine gunner is busted as all hell. If it was up to me I would limit all the full auto rifles to 1 per squad and I would introduce a new class called Squad leader that would be the only one that could use them.
