Here we have another Quake sound effect video requested for items. Here we have the quad damage, health, keys, ammo, biosuit and more.

That Pentagram pick-up sound (0:39) is so badass! Trent Reznor did a stellar job on the sound design.

Kiria i Master You're wrong about the health pickups. The first only heals 15, the second heals 25, and there is no such thing as a 50HP healthpack.

Did anyone notice that the health pick ups are very similar to the healing machine sound when it runs out in half life And The hazardous waste suit Pick up sound Is like the armor machine in half life probably because half-life is a modern version of quake

The secret to this stuff is the Moog Synthesizer, invented by Robert Moog and used by musicians since the late 1960's. NIN loved using minimoogs in their recordings. Analog, and not polyphonic, unlike most synthesizers. Especially useful for Bass sounds even relative to the best digital synths of today.

@Bianconeri005 agree, everything in the game is eerie-but incredibly cool-including all the sounds. Quake definitely would not be Quake without that dark & intense vibe.

You can unzip the regular Quake files, they're in there as waves.
