I want to show you how the Quake (Qu8ke/Qu4ke) Grenade from Tectonic Innovations, compares with TRMR, SWAT impact, Oshi-Boom and SWAT timed grenades.

With Alisdair's help, we demonstrate the grenades by dropping and bowling onto a solid floor.

@@lpffpox-2377 I read the email, and he breaks it down, and puts airsoft toy on it. If you don't know what your looking at, it will just look like a chuck of metal.

got my second game day with the Quake 8 coming up, this time its gonna be a combined woodland/building cqb site. first game night with it, it worked flawlessly for the first 2 cylinders before I started having trouble with rotary lock up (not rotating smoothly to a new cylinder). took it apart and gave the cylinder face a squirt of silicone oil (not sure if it was the most optimum fix) but once I got it back together again it seemed to have fixed the issue for the rest of the night. haven't tried it at an outdoor field yet so fingers crossed it doesnt foul up and fail xD through all the long winded rambling, I guess I am trying to give a thumbs up for the Quake 8. its awesome and it made a room full of grown men scream like children :P

If you find the chamber doesn’t turn easily (or turns too easily), you can remove the hammerhead to reveal two grub screws. These apply pressure to the spring-loaded body pins which keep the chamber locked to each position as it rotates. The silicone you applied may have helped the body pins move a little more easily. Glad to hear it’s working well, and that you managed to elicit a tactical squeal from your opponents!

I wish the quake was a little fatter, I like to hold something that feels like a grenade, I want the timed one but having 7 shots is bloody handy. If they could combine the 7shots with a 3 second timer in a fat grenade I think everyone would buy them.

Thanks for your feedback! We’ll work on a multi shot timed BFG. If you already have a Quake, try wrapping it in 2cm of duct tape to fatten it up :)

I have a problem where if I throw it once, the primer expands and I cannot rotate it anymore, has it happened to anyone else? Maybe bad primers?

Some primers tend to expand or balloon more than others. Have you tried a different brand? Failing that, try unscrewing the base slightly before rotating the chamber. Then tighten the base again before deploying.

I was doing that, the unscrewing and everything but lead to some throws that didn't fire maybe because was not seated properly, although I haven't tried a diffrtent brand, this ones are a bit round so maybe thats what's causing it. Will try that thanks!

What primers does the Tectonic Quake use? I've really enjoyed my new Bang 22 which uses Ramset .22cal shots (available in home improvement shops)

could you use 6mm blanks but with 9mm adapters? cause i live in poland and 9mm blanks are illegal

I'm looking to order some Quakes, but I've been told that the 7 shot has a tendency to cook off an adjoining primer. Please tell me it's not so and I'll send in my order.

The earliest models sometimes did, but on subsequent builds, larger vent holes in the base plate meant exhaust gases could escape more easily, so there’s less chance of pressure build up. If you use good quality .209 primers (not 6mm blanks or nail gun blanks), you should find you’ll get 7 individual shots each time. Please ask if you have further questions.

Qu8ke takes 209 primers, would it take 9mm or any other blanks?

Hi, The Quake is designed to work only with .209 primers. It won't take any other blanks. There are other products in my store that work with 9mm (and 12gauge), and there are more products in the pipeline that will work with a variety of other calibres.

Brandon - it’s made with aircraft grade aluminium and stainless steel. It’s a chunky bit of kit which will serve you well and withstand several years of airsoft. Can I suggest you sweeten the deal by buying one for your lady as well?

@@wkkkkkk545 I have a few grenades which are compatible with rimfire blanks such as those used for nail guns. Please check legality in your country before ordering :)

@@fifewargames Super! 6mm rimfire blanks (on images looks as they wouldnt have primers on back) are allowed (long short). In general 6mm blanks. Blanks 9mm and primers require gun license.

From wherever you buy your BBs, but this impact grenade uses primers, not BBs :)

It seems like a hobby I’d like. Any tips for a beginner? Like maybe a starter loadout and gear for indoor fields or just general tips.

I think there are no limitations on these in the US, only if you use a 12 guage shot shell. something about a destructive device, not sure, please dont quote me. otherwise yeah, they can use them for airsoft with no trouble
