I was going through the vod to see what peripherals they were using, nice to have it all in one short video :) also cool to see their grip style and how they position their pad and keyboard, completely different from how i do it, i have 30cm of desk space infront of the pad and keyboard to rest my ellbows.

For me the best display of Quake was in a particual match of this QCon: Vengeur V StrongSage on Deep.

Great footage! Nice to see the kind of setups these top players use. 0:15 Cool to see how little movement there is of the forearm of toxjq, who arguably has the best LG. He uses mostly wrist aim huh

So, the PC's and monitors are all the same, but every player brings their own keyboard, mouse, mouse-pad, what about head-sets?

Look how hectic they move their mices. I guess, they use a pretty low mouse sensitivity.
@attractivegd953111 ай бұрын
I guess it depends to what you compare it to. They all in the 30cm 360 ballpark, Quakers uses sens a bit higher than on most competitive fps games because there are no headshots, the maps are smaller and the movements and more specifically combats are usually a bit more extreme in terms of camera rotations.
@thomasbergmann287011 ай бұрын
@@attractivegd9531Most of them use "low" mouse sensitivity. I compare it to In-Game Settings, like DPI 400 / 3.0 (In-Game). Most of them propably use DPI 800 and low mous sens. Watch Toxiq, Maxter and K1llsen. How they put their mouse in the air and their movement. It seens like a low sensitivity, for more precise aiming.
@occupythepresentmoment702511 ай бұрын
@@thomasbergmann2870 No actually they all pretty much use medium to high sens. I know this for a fact as I've watched their Twitch channels and have seen their settings. Rapha the champ uses 2.32 with a bit of accel which is pretty darn high and some guys use even higher than that (Dramis is the highest I think).
@stpbozin825310 ай бұрын
it's not really about mouse sensitivity it's about always having your mouse in default position. For example you going around the corner moving your mouse to the left but there could be enemy around the corner on the left but your hand are twisted already and you cant move your mouse to the left anymore. That makes you not ready to fight. So you have to waste time picking up your mouse moving it and placing back to mouse pad to default position and only after that you can fight enemy. A lot of time wasted wasted opportunity to initiate the fight wasted stack because most likely during this manipulations with he mouse you will receive some damage. So to avoid you simply move your mouse in small moves rather then big swipes. Instead of doing one long turn around the corner you making two or three small moves so when you enter the room your hand would not be twisted and you will be ready for any sort of situation.
