I believe the retirement crisis will get even worse. Many struggle to save due to low wages, rising prices, and exorbitant rents. With homeownership becoming unattainable for middle-class Americans, they may not have a home to rely on for retirement either.

Got it! Buying stocks during a recession when prices are down could be a good move. You might get them at a lower price and sell later when they go up. Just do your homework and be aware of the risks before diving in!

@@JonahIta That's awesome! Investing in stocks with a reliable trading system can lead to great outcomes. It's fantastic that you've been working with a financial advisor for a year now. Starting with less than $200K and being just $19,000 away from making half a million in profit is impressive! Keep up the good work!

Can you load up a Roth with non-qual'd dividend stocks? I'm thinking about keeping all my REIT's and JEPI's on the Roth side.

Thanks for this info. I'd also like to see a video on how profits and losses from Forex are dealt with and taxed and if one should pay quarterly estimations or once at the end of the year during tax time.

Thanks for the video. I have a question, as I realized that a couple stocks I held (in a brokerage account) received dividends (that would normally be considered qualified), but were not held for the 60 days. Do the big brokerages typically take the holding period into account when providing the 1099-DIV forms, or do they just list all the dividends (that would normally be considered qualified) as qualified - and then it is up to the individual investor (like me) to determine which dividends were on shares that were not held long enough (the 60 days) and then adjust the amount (of qualified dividends shown on the 1099-DIV) accordingly before reporting that amount on tax returns?

Question - can a corporation distribute qualified dividends and retain profit in the company to reinvest in the business? or is it distribute all or nothing?

Why do some companies pay a variable dividend? I hold shares in Zim stock (Israel). I recieved a dividend of $4.95/ share. And in April of 2023, I recieved $6.40/sgare. How are royalty trust stocks taxed?

So, I understand the reasoning of qualified and nonqualified dividends, it all makes sense, I'm cool with it and all, but for the love of God I don't know how to tell the difference between the two! I've searched high and low to no avail. I'm new to this, but it seems like this info would come in handy BEFORE I put the stock/eft/reit/mlp/foreign investment either into a Roth IRA or regular account. Reits are easy because reits are reits. But MLPs and foreign investments not so much because some qualified stocks' payout ratios are 90% or higher and not all foreign investments are considered nonqualified. So, unless I can retroactively reassign my investments to a tax deferred account AFTER I got my 1099, there needs to be something to help me differentiate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m tired of hearing how “serious” this is. This guy continues to be treated waaaaaaaaay different than any other citizen. Wtf? I don’t plan on breaking the law, but if I do, I want the same kid glove treatment.
