Today’s video is a “Day in the Life” style with a couple service calls, errands, and a lunch meeting with some potential clients. The first call was a no heat on a Rheem gas package unit and the second call was replacing a condenser fan motor and blade on an old Heil system. Picked up a couple hvac dollies from powder coating, a new Milwaukee packout 3 drawer box, and had a lunch meeting with a local hvac contractor about possibly creating some content for their company’s social media. Hope you enjoy!

That fan motor bolt issue is why I keep some of those extras in the truck when I take a old motor out and they look good I'll swipe the bolts out of it, saves a head ache here and there. Also little tip a wire brush on your drill works well with the penetrating oil. Get it the habit of showing your customers the invoice with the charges when you tell the cost they appreciate it and it forces you into the building out your invoices while your onsite.

They call them package units, they are all in 1 unit that do ac and heat. Nothing inside except duct work. I see alot in trailers and retirement homes. You have seen many of them, just look up not down. They are used in commercial applications on roof tops. Work well in cold areas. Residential use is for sound or space. Trailer don't have a lot of space. I had another Residential customer tell me they did it because they didn't like the idea of having a gas furnace in the house. So add safety for another reason.

If you put a box fan in the access it brings the Temps down and makes working way easier. If the Ac is working take off a supply and run the cooling . One word of caution tape off the registers if ductwork is off so to avoid dust or anything in the attic entering the living space ,and Customers being extremely angry.
