wow I want to travel to Canada just to eat there! those pieces of protein that look like chicken are probably seitan. Asian cuisine has a lot of proteins that they make look and taste like meat aside from tofu. You should check out the frozen section of your Viet market next time you will be surprised! I agree Asian vegetarian food is the best!

I heard if you drain your extra firm tofu and cut it or crumble it into pieces freeze it then thaw it before marinating it it has more of a meaty texture.

If we sit there & not make a noise while eating, the person who made the food, might think we don’t like it & might take it offensively.
