Mind you, most of your objections are solvable in the menu... you can ajust your squelch there. My solution was putting it down to 1. Only if you need to listen to a very week station, you press button 1. Rx starts immediately...

F3 only lets me change the channel number of a pre programmed channel set. What am I noobing wrong? Edit: F5 is frequency mode on mine, which is weird because mine is the same age as his and same region!

Very nice, you probably should do a tutorial on a custom firmware, since it makes this 5/10 radio into a 10/10 especially usability, not having to press function for everything

Hey Plenus, I appreciate the feedback. That sounds good to me. I'm interested in the firmware that shows spectrum, I'm not sure if there's a firmware that combines both.
