Hello everyone!
Welcome back to my channel! For today's video, I did my own nails using the Apres Gel-X Kit. This kit is super easy to use and great for people who likes to do their own nails at home! It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it! You save so much time and money in the long run! The only downside is that you'll have to buy a nail drill to file the underside of the tips and maybe an UV/LED lamp if you're using gel polish instead of regular polishes. Other than that, I highly recommend this kit for people who likes to do their own nails at home. If you guys are interested in getting your own, I will leave the link down below.

Side note: They can last up to 2-4 weeks depending on how well you prep and apply on the nails!

Question, does the kit comes with the nails too or you got to buy that separately? And when the nails come off, does it ruined your real nail too or not? Kinda curious if its the same like the salon when you get it done or this way is easier and safer? Lol

Liz Xiong Yes the kit comes with tips! You’ll get to select which kind you want and prices varies depending on the shape and size. I feel like the Apres Gel X doesn’t damage my nail as much (when I rip them off - I know it’s bad lol) and it’s easier to soak off than acrylics.

I have this kit, but I’m wondering if acrylic can be used on top for nail art or color instead of polish? Would you know the answer to that? Thanks!

I personally have never tried it, but a friend of mine did and they actually turned out pretty nice!

I have the apres art me colored nails and they are not as long as yours. They are the extra long sculpted coffin nails. Can anyone confirm if the clear nails are longer than the colored ones?

I actually just got refill bags of the clear sculpted long coffin nails & they’re definitely not as long as the ones in this video. I’m just as confused. I’ve gone as far to look up posts on après IG & I feel like they’re not actually very “long”🤷🏻‍♀️ I have a full box being shipped so I’ll see if that makes any difference!

I like the look of long elegant nails. However it causes me problems putting in my contacts and typing so I get frustrated and end up cutting them short.

Leslie I just started wearing contacts again and yes! It is a pain in the butt to put on/ take off contacts lol. Luckily the lens come with a mini kit (inserter and soft tip tweezer) so it makes putting on contacts so much easier!
