Lovely rendition by both singers. Good to see them both after an interval. Congratulations on your marriage with respective partners. Lalit Talluri excelled with the flute and the other musicians did their part very well. Subha mam, your introduction was pleasing especially about the Carnatic music. However, the song attained its cult status due to Makkal Thilagam's screen presence which you missed mentioning though at the beginning you rightly said how he helped Sridhar sir during his financial difficulties. Looking ahead to Sunday's presentation.

A Worthy Revisit to a lovely folk melody. To sum up: an in-depth insight, minute Observations, Genuine appreciation and Excellent Analysis of the song - threadbare - by Smt. Subhasree. What Better Recognition a Creator needs than this? YES, Gamakam, Brigaas, Sustenance, natural blend of folk & classical genres packed together in this song with a lovely background score. Just adding 2 more Highlights observed by me when I heard this Song once again:. that Counter Reply from P Susheela: Repeating the phrases "AAhaa idai pidikka" And "Nenju Negizhidhirukka" to TMS's Phrases sound beautiful; so too, that Parallel Humming by TMS & Susheela Alternately while Closing the Song whenthe Pallavi & Anu Pallavi is sung by one of them and which is then followed by a gradual fading away of that beautiful Flute Piece. These are all the subtle aspects that could be described as "Silent / Natural Embellishments" that are worth enjoying repeatedly. Performances of Flautist Lalit Talluri, Programmer Shyam Benjamin, Guitarist Lakshman and Percussionist Venkat reached the exalted position in recreating the original musical ambience of this song. Vijayalakshmi & Vikram came up with a fairly neat performance. 👌👍
